Hi I am new on here and wanted to know if anyone has an alternative to HRT as after my breast cancer which is oestrogen fed I have been advised against taking it. I get flushes, brain fog, constant tiredness, low mood, weight gain ……?

go to the website and the various breast cancer charities. When you find the one that seems most suitable give them a ring. Possibly MacMillan.

Hi NicEng

I was dianosed 3 years ago and I am Her2+ and still on 1st line of palbo & letrozole, with all the other delightful meds that go with it! I have been told it's ok to have soya, I just have it with my cereal in the morning and then the rest of the day I have milk in coffees. I also take Oxybutynin which is for bladder control, but has been proven to help with flushes, I have also started taking Venlaflaxine which is a anti depressant that also helps helps with mood swings, flushes etc. and I have to say I have been feeling alot better. The only side effect I'm getting from these is a dry mouth, so I have a spray to help with that. Unfortunately there isn't much we can do for the weight gain other than to keep moving and try to exercise. Hope that helps? :)

I have been told as well that soya is good for you and turmeric , green tea and ginseng. They all help with Menopause symptoms and also can protect you from getting cancer again. I suppose they do not work instantly but once get into your system make a difference. Take care

You can take them in tea bags as a drink such as green tea or ginseng they are often found together or the ginseng is with ginger, you can put turmeric in your food it is usually put in curries and use soya as milk. You can also get ginseng and turmeric as tablets but it is nicer to drink or add to your food I think.
