Mammograms

Good news? Maybe.

Looking for someone to talk to and relate to how I'm feeling.
I've lost a few people I was close with one being my aunt from
breast
cancer
. I also am trying to process alot of childhood trauma. Some stuff I'm still uncovering. Have been no contact with my parents as of 3 months ago. Have lost a connection with someone who was basically my little sister.

Xgeva dose
Initially when I was diagnosed with metastatic lobular
breast
cancer
, I had Xgeva injections every 4 weeks. I had many, many, many sites on my bones! Three months after the initial diagnosis, I had NED.

Recent diagnosis of Ductal Invasive Breast Cancer
They think in addition to the main lump there are two other lesions near it in my left
breast
. The right
breast
is clear. My
breast
cancer
consultant initially said he thought we could potentially avoid chemo and radiotherapy but it is now looking like I may need chemo first then surgery.

Travel Insurance questions on Acalabrutinib
This is further complicated by the fact that I am also on Trastuzumab (another monoclonal antibody for
breast
cancer
). How do I get round this? What do I say? While on the subject- does anyone know whether saying you are on Statins (high cholesterol) helps with getting travel insurance or not.

No benefit of chemo for ER+HER2- invasive lobular beyond estrogen therapy
Just found this in the digest I get of medical journal articles (MD Edge): Women with estrogen receptor (ER)–positive, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)–negative invasive lobular carcinoma who are treated with endocrine therapy do not derive any additional survival benefit from neoadjuvant

Worried
Hi, I was diagnosed with
breast
cancer
in January 2020, had surgery, told my cancer was stage 2 by the surgeon, based on lymph nodes and tumor size. My first set of scans revealed a tumor on my spine, this changed everything.

More Waiting
My mother had
breast
cancer
at 36 he said that he wanted germline testing and Decipher done on biopsy cores before moving further. In his opinion is BRCA is present, removal is the only option. Otherwise radiation is a viable option.

Intermittent stabbing breast pains
The pain is bearable and something I could live with however I do worry about
breast
cancer
and that I might be at more risk because of this pain. I have been on the patches for about a year now. Any thoughts on this? I don’t want to bother GP plus I couldn’t get an appointment if I wanted!

First post and learning as much as possible
When we see here for Chemo # 4 , should we be asking for screening for
breast
cancer
and pancreatic cancer ( I read BRCA2 have higher odds of these cancers ? ) now? Any other thoughts what we should be asking her about with this news we now have ? Thanks and I wish each one of you the very best.

reduced doseage of ibrance
Hi, I saw my oncologist yesterday and she reduced my ibrance from 125 to 100 mg. This makes me very nervous, though she says there should be no reduction in effectiveness . Has anybody had this happen and what were the results? Did the smaller dose still work for you? I have been on ibrance and letrozole

New gal here
I was diagnosed with
breast
cancer
in Sept. Had left masectomy on Oct 12th no radiation or chemo needed. I meet with the oncologist in 1 week and he will put me on an esteogen blocker. No family history at all. I am 64 years old and in good health. Needless to say it was a shock.

Is it safe to take antibiotics while on Ibrance and Letrozole?
Good day my fellow warriors! A quick question about taking antibiotics while on Ibrance and Letrozole. I am on vacation right now and unfortunately is experiencing toothache with swollen gums. I’m planning to see a dentist this week to ask for prescription for my swollen gum but not sure if this will
