In quest of managing diabetic conditions well and to prevent complications, I came across following personalities which I found useful and it was in line with my thought process.
Neither have I joined any paid programs anywhere till date nor I recommend you to join any paid program... There are sufficient material available in digital media .. ...self learning I strongly urge ...
(1) Cyrus Khambatta , MD. Ph.D on Nutritional Biochemistry, lives in USA. He is living with Type 1 since last 30 years, author of a Ny best seller book called "mastering diabetes".The book is co-authored by Robby Barbaro, who is also a Type1.
The diet chart is taken from his book.
Most of the information of the book is also available in the website below. Whatever statements he has made in the book is backed up with scientific research studies....

They have a couple of facebook accounts in name of mastering diabetes with a lot many followers and free question answers are allowed.
(2) Dr. Neal Barnard , MD is founding President of the Physician committe, Fargo, North Dakota, USA . He has also authored many books on Diet and health. You can watch his talk in you tube video's. He is very popular .
(3) Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn's, MD is a 86 old American physician, author of "prevent and reverse heart diseases by diet"
He runs a clinic and is well known to reverse & prevent heart diseases by diet. He treats a lot of diabetes to prevent a heart/CV complications.
Needless to say that among all diabetic complications, the biggest silent killer is CV/ Heart.....we often tend to neglect ....we need take care of our Heart along with blood sugar .....
I found his lessons/ information very useful....
(4) Dr Pramod Tripathi ....He integrated the Diet, with exercise, yoga, Pranayam & meditation ...and runs a coaching center and residential program and charges to the participants. .however all his teachings /lessons available on youtube and facebook.
(5) Dr Biswarup Roy Chowdhury...very popular in social media ...you tube ...
He has a lot of naturopathic clinics in India and other Asian countries...he proved it before huge gathering how eating fruits & vegetables does not raise blood sugar...and how to take the fruits , vegetables and grains in sequence in a meal such that you don't get a blood sugar spike.. soon he became an enemy to the medical fraternity...
(6) Swami Ramdevji...He does not need introduction. His aim is to teach Yoga Pranayam to the whole world all free of cost.. He has a dedicated TV channel called Aastha in which he teaches yoga Pranayam everyday morning...
While, I may not like his ayurvedic drugs for diabetes, but I like his breathing techniques : Bhastrika, Kapalbhati, Anulom vilom, kumbhak ...
By only sitting in a place and doing the Pranayam's for 15 mnts in the morning , I could reduce my fasting blood sugar by 8 to 10 points!
There are several you tube video's on pranayam demonstrated by Ramdev ji...
(7) How do you bring harmony among your Body, Mind & Soul...
I learnt Rajyoga meditation from Brahmakumaris Head quartered in Mount Abu, Rajasthan with more than 10,000 centres across the world.... With millions of followers.. you can watch their dedicated TV channel 24x7 "Peace of Mind" & "Awakening" (Tata Sky channel no 1065 & 1084)
You can watch Sister Shivani who is very popular everyday morning 6.30 AM.. and also several times a day ..you can watch Brahmakumaris in you tube though.. search for BK sister shivani ...you will get 100's.. This will definitely change your mind to positivity and bring peace, harmony , health and happiness. Will make you stress-free.. it is worth spending time with sister shivani 's talk .
Their dietary pattern, life style is such that they live for 100 years...they remain unmarried life long and strictly practice celibacy..... They go to bed by 10 pm and get up early @4 AM - Brahma Muhart for meditation- they have a meditation hall which could accommodate 10000 people at a time and there is a pin-drop silence. They have Asia's biggest Solar plant.. they use this renewable power for the lighting cooking....their campus is green , vast and everybody has to walk a lot inside the campus. ..
Dadi janaki the head of the organisation just passed away at the age of 105 few months back ...there are many Dadi's/ Sisters living in their 80's , 90's and 100's without any health complications. They don't eat restaurant food at all.. Whenever they fly, they carry their own food even in international long haul flights....
You will find many you tube video's of sister shivani...worth spending time.
(8) Evidence Based Science:
There are several Seperate Long term research studies on diet and health carried out on large number of people for 10-40 years in USA, Canada , Europe...

Why did I mention all about the above 8 paragraphs ????
There is a common thread among all the 8 points.....the Diet , life style they advise is almost similar.. ....Whole plant food.....
What is whole plant food?... Least processed, wholesome, sustainable, and the food varities as listed above if selected judiciously and taken together will have all the Macronutrients & Micronutrients, phyto nutrients, Anti-oxidants Soluble/Insoluble fiber, Lignans, ...offers variety, gives you satiety...and all the health benefit you need.....,and this is the food which would help in reversing your insulin resistance - all seven parameters...

Human body is meant to burn Carbs easily and our body is more comfortable to burn Carbs.....when you don't eat Carbs and eat only Fat & Protein, your body is forced to convert fat and protein in to sugar which are needed by your body cells, thereby you are putting your body under stress....moreover Protein has a specific role to play for your body ....don't divert it and force your body to convert it to sugar to feed your cells.
Unfortunately, we have a diabetic conditions such that certain type of carbs spike our blood sugar. But if we choose carbs in such a way that it does not spike my blood sugar much at the same time gives me all other nutrients that the body needs!
And if you see the chart , it may appear that the diet is Carbs heavy...but if you eat all the varieties judiciously and in a sequential manner, the carbs from vegetables fruits would not raise your blood sugar as I have seen from my own experience and the interesting part is that you may not be able to overeat calories.....and whatever you eat, there are a lot of fiber which would tend to slow down absorption of sugar from the food.
Well, for the obese, the diet gives a proven sustainable weight loss with improving diabetic conditions...
For the thin type, it helps putting up some weight...
You have a lot of varities to choose from as per your liking and you need to select portion size to your satisfaction and tolerable limits..
But before you jump in to it, please check your Dibatic Progression status- know your beta cell status....have you checked your C- peptide test ????healthunlocked.com/diabetes...
If you are obese with execessive insulin, C-Peptide more than 2, you may get sustainable benefits of weight loss with improvement in insulin sensitivity with immediate effect....you may please visit their Facebook account to see the experience of real practitioners...
But if you are thin type-2 with extremely low level insulin and very low C- peptide level, still you would get long term benefit of preserving your beta cells ...but you need to be cautious at the begining you may have to minimise high glycemic items such as potatoes and bananas to start with.....
