Further Update & Upcoming Rheumatology Appt Advice
In the meantime, I was asked by my GP to go for some
blood
tests
as I have been struggling with pulsing or fasiculations in my calves. These are really pretty noticeable so I went to my GP and they sent me for some bloods.....

Killer cell testing - thoughts?
Do we shell out money for the NK
blood
test? Or do we just stick with the other
tests
and hope killer cells aren’t the reason my last transfer failed….

Recurrent implantation failure
I have seen NHS leaflets online of
blood
tests
some clinics offer, antibody testing, etc. I’ve had a hysteroscopy but that was before all my miscarriages. My results from the Coventry implantation clinic all came back normal. I’m on heparin and extra progesterone.

GP cancelled my free prescriptions as doesn't classify ET as a blood cancer, and even if it was, I'm not recieving ongoing treatment!?
In my mind the fact that I'm taking aspirin daily and seeing a Haematologists 4 times a year, and providing ongoing
blood
tests
is treatment. He has invited me to challenge his decision, thus this post.

Sent recent MMH to GP
My results demonstrate very poor T3 conversion +now await to see if she will agree to
blood
tests
for vit levels for Vit D, B12, ferritin etc. May I ask, if she believes these are 'within range' (that's if she agrees to the
blood
tests
), what can I do to improve these levels?

Anagrelide (Agrylin)
Got a second opinion (still no MPN specialist - another well respected hematologist/oncologist), plus a bone marrow biopsy and additional
blood
tests
. Resulted in same diagnosis. Now on Agrylin...just started. I don't understand why this is not the first course of action.

Steroid-based inhaler warning
So, the purpose of this post is to recommend to anybody who uses a steroid-based preventer inhaler, ensure that your routine follow-ups include
blood
tests
for adrenal insufficiency, and if your GP won't do them, get them done elsewhere.

Blood tests
Hi, hope everyone is as well as can be. I had some bloods done this week and to my surprise, my CRP had reduced quite a bit but ESR still high but not as high as it once was. My question is, do the blood markers match the amount of pain and stiffness? I was surprised by these results as my pain

Is this lupus?
I've had various
blood
tests
and nothing seems to show up. My GP has just agreed to test for autoimmune markers because I explained that it feels as if my body is fighting itself. But the tests are next week. There are a few close family members with autoimmune conditions.

procedures after an echocardiogram
A couple of ecgs and
blood
tests
later I was told they looked fine and all ok but was sent for an echocardiogram, I have since had a letter to visit the cardiologist at the end of November. Is this a normal thing or is it something to be concerned about.

Facing thyroid surgery?
Blood
tests
eventually showed that my thyroid levels had stopped fluctuating although I still had poor sleep, a lack of energy and weight gain to deal with.

Feeling relieved
She has prescribed liothyronine, going on my private
tests
, and ordered
blood
tests
, including one for my adrenal levels I believe. She even asked if I'd taken my levo, because it gives a better base line reading if you have not.

Coming to terms
Because of my anxiety and depression I also find it difficult to make sure I attend and make appointments for
blood
tests
. Over the years I have had to change my medication because of failing to take them. Has anyone else had this issue with coming to terms with it?

My Gabapentin Dilemma
I’ve had several
blood
tests
over a couple years and my iron levels are: Total Iron level is 61 to 110. Ferritin is 112 to 133. Saturation is 22 to 33%. Binding capacity is 275 to 291. I took Pramipexole for over 30 years and it worked.
