My doctor won't acknowledge PMR without inflammation markers in blood tests.
Repeated visits to doctor
blood
tests
MRI now he won't refer me to rheumatologist says we must focus on pain management. I begged him for prednisone, he flatly refuses. I had twenty five tablets in my cabinet of 5mg have taken them for five days.

in agony but have no answer
All
blood
tests
/ bowel samples are clear. I have all the symptoms of endometriosis but all tests / surgeries are coming back clear. I am awaiting for an MRI scan and I am hoping it shows something to give me an answer.

Good morning everyone - so referring back to last weeks post my
blood
tests
came back showing raised Neutrophil count 10.2 and my C-reactive protein up at 12 - so GP suggested going back to 12mg for 2 weeks then dropping to 11 for a further 2 weeks then repeating bloods.

Blood test results
I am due to have my next phone consultation with my rheumatology nurse on Tuesday but have received a copy of a letter she has sent to my GP saying that my indicators are all now normal and I can be passed to the care of my GP and move to three-monthly
blood
tests
, which all sounds very positive.

CT Scan of abdoman stressed
The Dr was pretty considerate and ordered a CT of my abdoman along with other
tests
. When he came back to the room he said
blood
tests
looked good and CT scam was good go but they had found 'diffuse gastric thickening uspecified'. He assured me it wasn't cancer just a bout of gastritis.

Prednisolone newbie!
Fortunately he redid
blood
tests
and rang me last Friday to say CRP was 63 and various others showed inflammation so started me on 15mg Prednisolone to be taken with breakfast. So started on Friday 6th October and on Saturday got out of bed with little difficulty.

canker sore, low wbc and GI infection
I was released as the fever was nearly gone and chest x-ray,
blood
tests
etc came back clear of infection. GI symptoms continued once home. I saw my GI doc who told me I most likely had a GI infection that could cause some residual symptoms but to eat a BRAT(bananas, rice, applesauce) diet.

Told by gynae MRI could not be done to check for endo/adeno, confused!
I have been to gynaes on and off since I was 18 with pelvic pain, painful sex, bad period pain, recurrent thrush & cystitis, bladder pain, stabbing pains in rectum and lower left abdomen etc , but because I don't have heavy periods not much was ever investigated apart from
blood
tests
and ultrasounds

Plant Sterols for reduction of cholesterol
Not necessarily related to PMR as I have had high cholesterol since I first started having
blood
tests
years ago. My 'good' and 'bad' have always been about the same level. My current GP suggested statins. I declined. She then suggested trying plant sterols.

newbie - help please
I have known for a while that I have subclinical hypothyroid as I have had regular
blood
tests
over the years and at times my thyroid TSH returns into the normal range. However my past few
blood
tests
this is not the case. My T4 /T3 has always remained in the normal range though.

Myelofibrosis- GVHD graft, versus, host, disease.
On my next consultation with the haemotologist and further
blood
tests
, I was told that I had Myelofibrosis, a rare form of bone marrow cancer. He said it was terminal but treatable. My lights were knocked in of course, I wasn't expecting anything of the sort.

Constant nausea and upset tummy?
I have had many
tests
(
blood
tests
, stool samples, abdominal ultrasounds, and a flexible sig) which all show nothing wrong with my GI tract. I do not have IBS or other similar stomach complaints. Is this normal for endo? Does anyone else experience this? How can I help this?
