Sticky blood! A thing or not?
Many years ago my
blood
tests
often had to be repeated at the pathology lab because the first and second samples had set solid in transit before testing. I was told it was because I had sticky blood.

IMPROVEMENT!
He gave me various
tests
and
blood
tests
and came to the conclusion that it's not my bronchiectasis that's the problem, it's my asthma. I'm now taking a Seretide 250 inhaler and feeling a whole lot better. Although still not brilliant, I can see the improvement on my daily peak flow readings.

breathing difficulties 9 weeks post ablation
Does anyone have any advice I have been using google and come across pulmonary vein stenosis, he is worrying that he has heart failure although I am sure the
blood
tests
and chest X-ray would have shown something. It has been a long and worrying 2 months really hoping for some improvement.

Atorvastatin and liver function
Blood
tests
for liver function 3 weeks ago showed slightly elevated ALT and high GGT levels. My previous GGT test was about 20 months ago and the level then was normal. Liver
blood
tests
were repeated yesterday and my ALT level has doubled to 152 and GGT increased by 50% to 245.

A finger-prick test may help detect Alzheimer's disease!
"Another study found that
blood
tests
can yield over
85% accuracy in detecting Alzheimer’s
, whereas standard physical examinations deliver accurate diagnoses around 55% of the time."

So very grateful for Thyroid UK
and learning so much about vitamins, private
blood
tests
, private Endos, and so much more, things are turning around. I have a supportive husband and family and I know many don’t have that but I know the support here is absolutely irreplaceable. I am so very, very grateful.☺️🥰

Sleeping 12 hours per night and Low T4
Having had unrelated surgery the hospital advised me that my
blood
tests
showed T4 below range. I feel OK but I do sleep too much needing 12+ hours per night. Is it possible to add T4 to NDT?

hair loss
My Gp thinks it’s something autoimmune and I’ve had so many
blood
tests
. Most of my lovely thick hair has thinned away over the past couple of months and I’m left with a Danny Devito / Bill Bailey style hair.

need advice
She then prescribed
blood
tests
for parietal cell antibodies and intrinsic factor antibodies. Both were negative. She says therefore I only need B12 orally and not injections. But through this site I have read that even though serum levels are normal you can still not be absorbing the B12.

Help with test results - haemochromatosis with iron deficiency?
A few years ago I regularly had
blood
tests
which showed high iron levels so my doc suspected Haemochromatosis. I had the genetic testing which showed I had the gene mutation. I used to get blood drawn to treat it and bring down my iron levels.
