Has anyone had a joint surgery?
Hi, I had a scan and an appointment with my consultant earlier this week. I have to have more surgery but before they can operate I'm being referred to a bowel specialist. My endo spread is quite far up my rectal passage and my intestines. They want to investigate if it is internal before operating but

Urine infection
Hi everyone, Can anyone help, I keep getting urine infections, doc phoned yesterday to say it was bacteria infection and I also had high white cell count. I can’t understand why suddenly I’ve started to get these, I’m on 4mg pred, so not a high dose, I always wipe front to back, I don’t drink alcohol

Anaesthetics and Pred
Consultant was unable to complete a hysteroscopy this morning as he and I agreed it was causing too much pain. I'm now to have it done under general anaesthetic and wonder about taking pred. on that day. I've read back over some posts but am not clear whether one takes one's own medication into hospital

Antibiotics and levothyroxine
I’ve developed an extremely painful Cystitis and ended up at walk in centre it got so bad. I now have antibiotics to take 2xday and I wondered if I can take them at the same time as my levothyroxine. There was no way I could avoid antibiotics & it came on so over just a few hours. Never had it before

Dealing with lying
Hi all. I’m new here so bear with me. It’s a long one... My son is 7 and we still haven’t tackled day or bedtime wetting. For nighttime he has been prescribed Desmopressin which has helped, plus we have a bed wetting alarm. To be honest, being a boy, his winky often misses the sensor! Our main problem

Scientists identify virus-cell interaction that may explain COVID-19's high infection rate.
Lehigh researchers quantify the specific interaction between the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2 — the virus that causes COVID-19 — with the ACE2 receptors in human cells that may partially explain its high infection rate compared to SARS-CoV-1. Bioengineering researchers at Lehigh University have identified
