Afib breathlessness
Firstly, sorry, I don`t know how to add to an old post so started this. To try and keep it short I had a cardioversion for Afib which worked for a few weeks. I was later put on bisoprolol which I really struggled to walk any distance and upstairs (Asthmatic). Many kind people on here gave me good

Meds and sickness
Just a question. If i take bisoprolol or any other med for that matter. How long does it take to be absorbed fully? I have a sickness bug and wonder would I need to take another tablet if I were to vomit within a certain amount of time after taking the tablet.

Bisoprolol and anxiety meds after AVR and CABGx1
I don't get many responses or zero notifications. I'm trying to ask if anyone has had issues with beta blockers and anxiety meds mixed together. I am in a terrible withdrawal of both, down to 98lbs, unable to eat anything as I am suddenly allergic to everything and I am bedridden 18 months now. I am

Strange feeling
I get a feeling as if I am in an elevator that suddenly drops or on a rollercoaster. It seems to come from my stomach area. It lasts only a few seconds, sometimes a bit longer, but it is very scary. Occasionally when I take my pulse it is erratic. It can happen at any time, even when sitting quietly

update on speaking with nurse.
So I had to do fibricheck for a week for Nurse and apart from one bad episode of AFIB all the others are eptopics. I’ve upped my Bisoprolol for now if that don’t work then I have to up the flecainide. That’s the one I don’t want to up. I have been given the all clear to get back to my HGV job so that

Hi allI had my AVR done in May this year, initially I had issues with heart rate jumping around 147. My medications were Bisoprolol 7.5 mg along with standard water tablets and blood thinners.Couple of months after the procedure I had to go A&E for this heart rate procedure but I was either given digoxin

Superventricular tachycardia along side PV
Hello everyone I hope your all well 😊 I have been posting about my experience with STV and just wanted to update everyone. I was seen by cardiology yesterday and it was confirmed it is STV I have been experiencing. The treatment I have opted for is catheter ablation. Unfortunately there us a 6 month

Low VO2 Max - should I care?
I am 9 months post AVR surgery and remain on Low dose aspirin, bisoprolol and atorvastin. I have a smart watch and all my measures look good except my VO2 Max, which is consistently very low at 23. I am active and feel pretty fit, at target weight, so should I be concerned? Could this simply be a consequence

Bad news…
I have just spoken to a senior consultant. Apparently, the possibility of stenting (mentioned yesterday by a registrar) is a long shot: it’s almost certainly a bypass, a “big operation” in the consultants words. I have a CTO -a total blockage which requires it’s “drilled out”. I have an angiogram tomorrow

Aortic Valve
Hi all I wanted to share my experience, I am 69 and few months earlier I experienced breathing problems and it was diagnosed that I had a heart failure. After investigating it was found that my Aotica valve needed replacement. This was carried out Royal Brompton. The procedure went well but unfortunately

Taking a magnesium supplement - any dependencies with other drugs?
After some research I have decided to add a magnesium supplement, to hopefully help with the muscle weakness in my legs. I’ve now got the supplement, but am not certain whether I need to take my dose at a particular time of day for best effect, or not take it with any of my other drugs. The others I

Has anyone tried the above peppermint oil capsules for stomach cramps caused by diverticular disease please? I’m on daily flecainide and bisoprolol for my afib and don’t want to take anything that would rock the boat.
