side effects of Digoxin

can I stop taking digoxin as it makes me breathless and I take lansoprazole and I have to take this because of Hiatus Hernia .

I’ve got to take Bisoprolol and Apixaban in morning and afternoon also water tablet

Hi, please don’t stop taking any medication without consulting your GP or consultant. Digoxin is keeping your heart at a healthy rhythm.

Digoxin is the oldest heart drug- tried and tested for at least a century. Your feeling of sickness could be overdose of the drug. How much Digoxin are you taking and what is pulse rate. If it becomes a nuisance symptom, contact your G.P. -he would like to give you a blood test like Digoxin level which is appropriate test for overdosing.

Certain medications can have strong side effects. Talk it through with your doctor. Rampiril caused me to have a hacking cough - once I stopped taking it I soon felt much better and the cough disappeared. Other medications can make you a bit breathless. There are usually alternatives. Worth a chat about it
