Bisoprolol withdrawl after only 3 weeks
I have been taking Bisoprolol 1.25mg for 2 weeks, I stopped after 2 weeks and felt fine for 3 days and then I woke up around 2:20am with a HR of 125bpm. This continued for 3 more hours and eventually subsided. I decided to bite a tablet in half and take that and things seemed to settle for a bit but

what’s a good bisoprolol dose.
hello, I’m on bisoprolol 1.25 twice a day and it seems to be too low a dose to keep my heart happy. The Arrhythmia nurse I spoke to wants to put it up as my HHR today has been up to 140 for about 10 hours now and extra pills so far have not got it down. My question is does a 2.5 make you too tired and

AF - appt with arrhythmia clinic by phone, is this usual?
I had an appt at the rapid access chest pain clinic a couple of months ago, whilst there I had an episode of my 'funny heart beats'. The Nurse palpated my pulse and said it was AF, they couldn't refer to the other clinic so I had to go back to the GP to get the referral. I now have an appt in April

Blood pressure higher in the evening
Normally I take my blood pressure in the morning at about11 o'clock. I am on medication , I take ramipril a diuretic and bisoprolol (2.5) at night and another bisoprolol in the morning at 11. I have discovered that my BP is normal at 11am (120/80) but sharply increased in the evening at 19:00 (160/110

First episode
Got up quickly off the floor during DIY yesterday and went into AF, as as far I know this is the first time since PAF diagnosis in May '20.HR didn't go above 80andfelt fine episode lasted untilan hour after my daily bisoprolol this morning. I'll get a tradesman in next time rather than DIY me thinks

AF and weight gain. Do AF and associated treatments impact on the ability to lose weight?
Hi there. I was diagnosed with persistent AF and have been on Bisoprolol and Apaxiban ever since. Cardioversion undergone which was not helpful and now await postponed ablation. I constantly feel very sluggish and have put on nearly a stone in the last year. I have been on a strictly calorie controlled

Just started Bisoprolol and Apixaban
I started Bisoprolol 5mg and Apixaban on Monday having spent the weekend in Barts with my chest looking like it had a ferret inside the skin running around like crazy. I've had episodic AF ( I realise now) for nearly 20 years and definitely booze related, but which has become much more sensitive over

Heavy arms and legs…
First time posting. Hello everyone. I was diagnosed with AF in October. It is present all the time - heart rate in 80’s and 90’s. I was aware my heart was racing & I felt tired & uncomfortable. I was immediately put on Apixaban & Bisoprolol. Having started medication my arms & legs became very heavy

Ablation done.
hello all, I wanted to share my recent ablation experience in the event it helps/informs. My headlines are. Diagnosed with AF in April ‘22 after attending gp’ with high stuttering heart rate. prescribed bisoprolol and apixaban. Remained in AF until cardioversion in May, established NSR but sadly

Med Review, good news
Following my phone call on Monday I had a review with my cardiologist tiis morning. Long story short, he has stopped the Bisoprolol and, because my cholesterol has reduced significantly, halved my Atorvastatin to 40mg. I'm doing well and considered "low risk" now ( such an emotional boost) so he said

Med Side effects
Phoned my Cardiologist Dept today because I've been struggling with, what I think might be, the side effects of the cocktail of meds I was placed on following the HA in November. Main concern is Bisoprolol and low HR but have also have digestive issues as well. Have to say we seem to be really lucky

spots blemishes and dry patches
Hi Not a major issue in the scheme of what most of us are living with, but if anyone has any tips I would appreciate them. 59 year old female always been fortunate in having really good, clear skin. Since HA and stent in November on the usual meds, atorvastatin, ticagrelor, bisoprolol, aspirin, mononitrate

breathlessness, exercise and sotalol
I'd be grateful to know of others' experiences of sotalol. I started 2 weeks ago on 80mg twice daily and since then have not been able to do my usual fairly brisk pace of daily walking for 20-30 minutes without feeling out of breath and exhausted. I moved from 2.5 mg bisoprolol having agreed to go

Non Allergic Rhinitis when taking Bisoprolol
I would really like to hear from other members if they have suffered with the above whilst taking Bisoprolol. I’ve now been taking 1.25mg daily coming up to one year on the 1st March. Over the last week or so I’ve been experiencing extremely sensitive eyes, stuffy/runny nose starting from mid morning

do I need to take bisoprolol
I was taken off a small dosage 1.25 mg in November due to a slow heart rate. I had another echo scan and was advised I was doing well and was told to stay off them. I had a telephone consultation with my specialist and have been advised to start taking the small dose again for prognostic benefits. I

angina symptoms when resting, clear angiogram
Hi For the last month or so I have been having angina like symptoms but unusually nearly always when resting and they seem to be relieved if I go for a walk. Have had clear Echocardiogram; ECGs and angiogram. Symptoms are intermittent and I tend to occur every second or third day. Cardiologist has

Back to square one update
Well everyone it is 4 months on and still relatively housebound but now stable . As you may have read in another thread we have moved forward and there is a really capable team of leading specialists who are looking into a recovery and management program of exercise to recover our bodies from the ravages

Black Seed Oil for high blood pressure?
Hi everyone, looking for advice please. I’ve recently been diagnosed with high blood pressure and I fear the GP will want me to take more tablets, on top of the Bisoprolol I already take for my AF. My BMI is good apparently, and I already exercise regularly and eat healthily, although I’d like to lose
