What is your query? Verapamil is a dfferent way of slowing your heart to bisoprolol and the other one is for Type 2 diabetes.

I have been put on Dabaglifozin to help my heart failure. Recommended by the cardio and endocrinologist (I am also a diabetic) so from my perspective dabaglifozin is definitely a winner for both conditions

In general, always trust your doctor, I tend to think. Those sound a commonly prescribed pair of drugs - one for slowing the heart, one for reducing blood sugar levels.

both my husband and I were prescribed dapaglifllozin, this was originally manufactured as a drug for diabetes, but was discovered that as a side effect was good for the heart. The only problem is that it often gives to both men and women UTIs. I wasn’t on it for long as my husband got a UTI which was hard to cure so he had to stop dapaglifllozin and I did as well

All the best

I was given 10mg Dapagliflozin by my cardiologist over a year ago and i had nothing but dreadful side effects for months in moisture barriers areas such as endless Vaginal thrush and then oral mouth problems dry mouth which lead to serious tooth infections/ abcess, leading to tooth loss and also pancreatic pain and worse is causes blood fats to build in your blood affecting blood test results. The GP had no understanding of the side effects of this drug.I stopped taking it and i have done all i can to remove as much sugar from my diet to protect my heart . I do not have diabetes.

Goodness I’m glad we stopped that drug. Sounds awful how it left you. I do hope you will feel better soon

Best wishes

Hi

Rainy111

It's been doing that here in NZ for a long time through our winter So we are waterlogged and so is our soil.

I wonder why veramapil? and not diltiazem. Which is kinder. I was side tracked to CCB Calcium Channel Blocker Diltiazem 1/2 dose for rate control from Bisoprolol and within 2 hours my Day heart rate went down from 156 to 51. We adjusted dose to 120mg. I've been on it for 2.5 years. My Night avge remains @ 47bpm. Now 60s Day.

Stayed but reduced Bisoprolol for BP control. 2.5mg Evening. 110-135 / 69-79 BP.

The other in NZ apparently is very good but unless you are diabetic we cannot have it. Try it but I would separate them for Heart Rate Veramapil morning and D.............. Night. Make a note of any side effects.
