Potential AF? Bisoprolol for management?
Hi everyone, I’m mainly looking for advice, tips, anyone who has experienced something similar and how they now go about managing it. I started having episodes of heart palpitations at the back end of 2020, where my heart rate would randomly spike to over 150bpm when resting, as it only happened a

Blood Thinners and AF
Me again, apologies but I am new to the world of living with AF and medications. Can I ask, if everyone on this forum diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation take anticoagulants? Is there anyone aged over 64 who do not? I take 300mg a day (dabigatran) and suffer badly from pressure headaches, similar to

bisoprolol side effects
I recently started taking bisoprolol taken about 11 over three weeks under doctors instructions I would like to ask if anyone had experienced and facial flushing with this tablet. It’s either that or I am coming down with a chest infection which I had beginning of year and that’s how I started along

Is persistent AF causing this breathlessness?
I’m in persistent AF. 80% of time it is flutter not fibrillation. HR usually 120 but rises to 140. I have been in persistent af like this for 4 months. Previously 17 years PAF. I also have bad food sensitivity problems , bloat badly after some foods and I am long term obese at 130 kg. About 5 weeks

hi My husband had a collapse back in may, and hit his head, when he was in hospital he had Af then just went back to normal rhythm, he was very confused and combative but when this resolved and he had his memory back he was discharged. A month later he collapsed again, but luckily only had a slight

Sinus rhythm with supraventricular ectopy.
Last December my Kardia mobile saw AFIB when I was sitting on a plane coming back from Egypt. It is not the first time, in fact there have been dozens of times when I have seen it. I went to the GP and he sent the kardia output to the cardiologist. Several cardiologists disagreed about the kardia

ADT or not for favourable intermediate risk with SBRT
Currently on AS, have repeat tp biopsy in October, this is routine for AS.Treatment advice, if I choose is SBRT but no ADT due to CVD risk as I have chads score 2, had 1 previous stroke in Feb 18 with full recovery, diagnosed May 2020 with paroxysmal AF, had 1 episode since so low burden, bisoprolol

problems after ablation
my husband had his ablation on 12th June and has had problems every since. He didn’t have any episodes in the year leading up to it but was advised to have it as he can’t tolerate the medication. He has been getting episodes every day then 6 weeks post ablation developed a chronic cough and breathing

Surgery cancelled
Hello. I have posted before about being overweight with AF and the fact that I am too heavy for an ablation. I have been on a weight loss pathway with the nhs for 5 years culminating in weight loss surgery booked for yesterday. The surgery organisers had spoken to my cardiologist and confirmed that

BP raised, after advice from Beta-Blocker users.
Started Bisoprolol 3 weeks ago (2.5mg), brought BP down to 109/72 pulse 49. Doc decided to cut me back to 1.25mg BP was stabilising around 125/78 pulse 51. However, tonight felt a bit heady BP coming in at 172/93 pulse 53. Too late to contact my surgery, do you think I should take another 1.25mg of

Hi , I had a stent in my LAD 3 weeks , bit of a shock. I am 50 and very fit. Hereditary they think. 85% blocked. 3 weeks on and I'm progressing well. Walking a lot and cycling up to 15/20 flat low heart rate miles. Max 120 BPM. All the drugs are are needed but it's just the Beta blocker, Bisoprolol

Medication interaction
I was recently diagnosed with AF and heart failure and prescribed digoxin and Bisoprolol as well as Edoxaban and now wonder if it is still safe to start my rescue pack on top of these. I have had Doxycyclin and 8 prednisolone daily prior to this. Also as breathlessness is supposedly a side effect of

Cough
I was diagnosed with afib about 6 months ago. Now on Bisoprolol, Edoxaban and Lansoprazole, along with amlodopine which I have been taking for a number of years to treat high bp. Since taking the afib meds I have developed a wheezy cough. Is this usual with the meds or is it the afib causing the cough
