stopping Flecainide
I have been taking 2 x Flecainide 50 mg daily, plus Bisoprolol, for 4 weeks, to address AF episodes while travelling overseas. I had enjoyed ten months AF-free, following a second ablation. Is it usual to reduce the Flecainide dose gradually when coming off this medication?

Why is my Resting Heart Rate Going up on Bisoprolol?
Following wearing a Zio Heart Monitor for 10m days my GP believes I have SVT and have been referred to Cardiology for tests. I have been put on Bisoprolol which has been increased to 10mg. Initially my resting heart rate goes down but as my body gets used the new dose it starts to go up again. I can't

Low heart rate while resting
Hey guys. I'm kinda worried about my resting heart rate. If I'm sitting or laying it can go as low as 48bpm, even in sitting. My range is mostly between 48 and 56/57. As soon as I get up my heart rate also jumps quickly and sometimes I get a bit dizzy for few seconds like you would normally get when

Pregnancy with arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy?
Hi everyone, I've been diagnosed with arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy (ACM or ARVC) a year ago. I have a lot of ectopic heartbeats all the time, every few seconds, even on Bisoprolol. My doctor says it is not dangerous but it is very disturbing to feel those all the time. I have 2 children aged 13 and

Into the 2nd phase?
Hello Had PAF for over 11 years...11 days ago I flipped into AF and haven't really been out of it much. Was taking PIP bisoprolol which slowed it down to an ok level...it used to fix it so I'd return to NSR. Not this time. A few calls to the Arrythmia nurses and they call me into their clinic. Sent

Is it bad for you to just wait out an Afib spisode.
Over the last month I went into Afib 6+ times. The first one lasted about 12 hours. The next 3 I ended up in emergency and they had to cardiovert me. The 5th time lasted 24 hours. The 6th time, however, lasted 5 days. But I was so fed up with sitting in emergency for 12 hours and getting my chest blasted

My Afib and Bisoprolol
My last post was 2 yrs ago when my AFib was ruining my quality of life.. Regular episodes and anxiety was the norm.. Fortunately by cardiac nurse seemed to read my mind during a catch up conversation and we decided the pill in the pocket 2.5 mg of bisoprolol taken when my heart misfired would be better

Starting Statins.
I’ve had permanent AF for three years, now 78 and am on Apixaban and low dose bisoprolol as well as thyroxine and pramipexole for RLS . After recent blood tests Surgery decided I should be on Statins. Atorvastatin now perscibed but not started. Seems to be a safety net as Cholesterol is within normal

Should I stick?
I've was diagnosed with AF about eleven years ago and it's managed with Bisoprolol and Rivaroxaban and save feeling of breathlessness sometimes, especially when bending down, my AF is asymptomatic but permanent. Since moving from Warfarin about seven years ago I rarely think about it as a condition.

Back in sinus rhythm
I posted last week about return of AF following a lung cancer operation. The GP (in UK) increased Bisoprolol from 5 mg to 7.5 mg and after a week I am back with a steady heart rate and rhythm.
