Back in sinus rhythm
I posted last week about return of AF following a lung cancer operation. The GP (in UK) increased Bisoprolol from 5 mg to 7.5 mg and after a week I am back with a steady heart rate and rhythm.

How do you know if your Orthostatic hypotension is caused by the heart attack drugs you're on or by 'something else'?
When I was in hospital recently after an acute angina episode and they did a sitting/standing BP test. update
Hi, just to update on my recent angiogram which I had yesterday. Results were they are happy to continue with medication as no stents required at this time. Pressure wire test wasn’t done as happy with what showed up on screen. The consultant has increased my Amlodipine to 10 mg and bisoprolol to 2.5mg

Anxiety and fast heartbeat?
Hi all, Just wanted to ask if anyone finds it difficult to distinguish the difference between anxiety and rapid heart beat. I look after my mum, she has several conditions including atrial fibrillation. She sometimes has episodes of a rapid heartbeat but is taking bisoprolol- 3.5mg a day. Recently,

Is an ablation for Persistent AF right for me?

Afib/tachycardia
Can any of you tell me your experience with the drug Amiodorone? My cardiologist, which I have not seen yet is planning on putting me on it! My last pacemaker check up showed that I had tachycardia during afib. I’ve had afib for years (24+) two ablations, no help. Only drugs are bisoprolol and apixaban

Blood thinners from the first diagnosis or?
Is it standard practice to put you on thinners from the start or only if you develop permanent afib? Because I didn't get blood thinners. Just bisoprolol and propafenone. Mind you, my episodes are pretty short. Never more than 45min, and vast majority under few minutes. 40 days since diagnosis.

Reducing Bisoprolol
I had an ablation mid September and have a follow up at the end of January. My cardiologist said to reduce the Bisoprolol and then to come off it by the time I have my appointment. I am now in 1.25 Bisoprolol and wondering how long I should give it before stopping all together. Has anyone else done

Has anyone ever been told that ablation will not work for them?
Hi all i am quite baffled as to why private cardiologist has referred me to one of his colleagues for ablation. I have been told numerous times, by nhs cardiologists, that ablation will not work to treat my afib. If fact one previous doctor said, "Ablation is out of the question due to extent of enlarged
