Should I stick?

I've was diagnosed with AF about eleven years ago and it's managed with Bisoprolol and Rivaroxaban and save feeling of breathlessness sometimes, especially when bending down, my AF is asymptomatic but permanent. Since moving from Warfarin about seven years ago I rarely think about it as a condition. I've recently got another job and during my appointment with occupational health they were quite surprised that no further intervention was planned. This got me thinking about whether I should try a further intervention to reverse my AF or stick with it.What do people think and I have no idea what the intervention would be?

Hi,

With regard to your burning question ... may I ask if you have had an Echocardiogram lately, if so how long ago. My experience has been that this bit of diagnostics will give your appropriately qualified healthcare professional the information on the overall condition of your heart.

I'm no healthcare person whatsoever but I would think the state of the heart would determine what sort ( if any ) of intervention maybe appropriate. To the best of my knowledge only an ECHO would give this info. Of course other factors would come into play too but the ECHO would be a starter.

I would have the appropriate ECG/ECHO every year as the trend can be equally important.
