I had my second ablation in November 22 and think it went well. My post ablation monitor showed some AF so it was repeated in June 23. It was reported in October 23 but only today did i received a copy of the result sent to my GP. It shows short runs of atrial tachycardia and short runs of AF and I will be reviewed in the clinic. I was supposed to have a telephone appointment from St Thomas’ Hospital in February but this was cancelled in January with very little hope of a new appointment until later in the year as the Professor’s registrar has left and they can’t fit patients in until he is replaced.
I stopped my bisoprolol with their agreement 3 months post ablation and am incredibly reluctant to go back on it especially as I am only aware of an occasionally racing heart and pre-op AF was totally debilitating and now I am unaware that I even have it. I still take apixaban.
Please any advice or encouragement

It sounds like the ablation has had some benefits then as your quality of life is improved. If you need further reassurance why not contact your arrhythmia nurse.
Hi! Just to tell you that you’re not alone. My first ablation was in October and since then I’ve had runs of atrial tachycardia too. The last one lasted three days and I couldn’t get my heart rate down… I was just lying in bed.
Thank you, I’m sure we are not alone. If offered I think I would have a 3rd ablation before going back on bisoprolol. I know lots of people are fine on bisoprolol but I hated it
I was on Bisoprolol 2.5 mg twice daily for 3 years. It was stopped in 2019. During the course I often had knocking sensation in my chest. Doctor told me it were the ectopics. Those were frequent. Later on it was switched to Ivabradine. Now I am on Metoprolol 50 mg.
