Ablation/S-ICD Recovery Time - why is it taking so long?
Bit of a long one… Hi all, I’m currently recovering from a 4 week hospital stay and struggling with the recovery period. I was admitted for investigation due to a high burden of PVCs which were making me very symptomatic. I had a previous diagnosis of low burden of PVCs, as well as mild dilated cardiomyopathy

bisoprolol
Hi, The doctor gave me the wrong dosage of my bisoprolol on Friday and haven't been able to take any for 3 days now. Is it usual to get chest pain after stopping taking it suddenly? I'm on hold to the docs to try and get the correct dosage but my chest/heart is in agony

Has anyone had medication changed from bisoprolol?
My previous posts were related to my mum and her anxiety. Mum has permanent AF. We ended up going private to see a consultant and mum had a monitor for a week to monitor her heart rate. The results did show that her heart rate was high - around 160 was the higher results. The consultant increased bisoprolol

Spironolactone
I'm aged 63 years. I am currently taking Bisoprolol, Amlodipine, Ramipril, Warfarin, Aspirin, Atorvastatin, Omeprazole and Spronolactone. I have been on the same medication for around 10 years, having had an Aortic Valve replacement 12 years ago. Until recently, there have been no problems with the medication

Having SVT right now
I wanted to check if anyone else has these episodes. I haven’t had an episode for a few weeks, before that it was 6 months ago. It’s not a regular thing but it lasts between 45 mins to over 2 hours, it’s been an hour so far right now. Always seems to come in the early morning around 4 or 5 am. I’ve

AF on holiday
I am a long-time AF sufferer (in the genes - thanks Dad!). I've had 4 ablations and 7 cardio versions. When I moved from London, I was referred to Papworth and, after tests, they were ready to try another CV. But, amazingly, on the day, my heart was back in sinus rhythm and there it has stayed for

I have been diagnosed with a mild leaky heart valve. Am now waiting to see a cardiologist. I have recently started Bisoprolol but my heart rate is in the low 50's & tonight is 48. A bit concerning that it is so low. GP did say that if it dropped below 50 it was too low.

I was diagnosed with AF 7 years ago while at our holiday home in Spain and had the catheter ablation 5 years ago in Switzerland our main home. I wrote last week that I had a cold and thought I was back in AF after being free for 5 years and in Spain again. After 6 days of continual high heart rate
