Bisoprolol and itchy
First time poster! I’ve been on bisoprolol for about 5 months now to regulate my heart rate, having been diagnosed with AF nearly a year ago. I’m very sensitive to any increase in dose and can only tolerate 1.25mg. I have been very itchy most days for a while now and rhinkinf about it, the onset was

Reducing Bisoprolol after ablation
After my AV node cryo ablation at the JR on Friday the consultant said I could reduce my bisoprolol dose from 5mg to 2.5mg. I'm thinking I'll get through the recovery period before I do that; I've seen reference to side effects of bisoprolol dose reduction on here. I'm not sure what those might be but

unsure about medication
Hi I’m just wondering if anyone on here is taking bisoprolol ramipril and aspirin? And why are you taking it. That’s what I take but I don’t know why. I struggle to pay attention when my cardiologist talks to me and I know very little about my own heart condition

Hallucinations with medication
Recently I’ve been having hallucinations like seeing people in my room. I tend to be on the verge of sleeping after around one hour in bed and then see people in my room. I know this sounds crazy but I can sit on the side of the bed, shake my head and they disappear. Only seems to happen the once. I’

Bisoprolol
Been having fast heart rate since Nov 23. Cardio put me on 5mg bisoprolol. Was controlled but now tachycardia again. No doc to talk to. Has anyone had this problem and been increased to 7.5 and had any issues with that. Thanks

memory problems
hi all, could anyone tell me if they have memory issues on bisoprolol, it’s causing some distress lately and is affecting my job, I get terribly confused a lot lately and it’s upsetting and my anxiety is also bad on it. I was ok in the beginning but lately it’s been getting worse. I would be most grateful

5 years after ablation
I haven’t posted here for a long time, everything went well after my ablation in Feb 2019. COVID came and I was fortunate enough to remain clear and can’t remember having a cold since then. This week I started off with a sore throat and coughing and sneezing and AF has reared its ugly head again. Since

Inflamed liver
Hi All, I haven't posted for a while, so I will try to explain how I feel generally. Had HA back in September & had a stent fitted. Most of the time I feel ok but every now & again I feel pretty awful, like I'm getting over Flu or a virus. My main symptons are tenderness in lower ribs & stomach ache

I/V ICD update on query 15 days ago
I posted a query on experience of having a Boston Instruments I/V cardioverter defibrillator fitted as I was getting bumps and beats since the implant three weeks ago. I gave feedback following contact with the hospital who advised me no issues and I needed to let it settle down.Today I took a call

Anxiety/depression
Can anyone advise me on what anti anxiety medication I can take which does not cause or affect arrhythmia. My friend takes Sertraline which she says is very effective but when I look up side effects arrhythmia is one of those so it would seem a no-no for me as I’ve had AF for over 10 years and take

Newbie looking for tips and info please
Hi I am new to AF on this forum. The forum looks good and I am impressed by the quality of the posts and answers. I have been on Healthunblocked site in the section for MPN (Polycythaemia) and Thyroid for many years and I am pretty knowledgeable medically as I have Polycythaemia Vera and Hypogonadism

Could I be harming my heart & vascular system with my consistently high BP, despite being on lots of cardiac and BP meds?
Despite being on the following list of meds I'm still getting BP spikes, with my weekly average being in the high 140's/80's and I'm getting angina, with related symptoms, weekly (although less intense since being on isosorbide mononitrate). I've been taking my BP for almost a year now and so I know

Post Ablation complications
Had persistent fast AFib since Nov 23, decided to go private route as my health was deteriorating. Echocardiogram Jan 24 showers severe mitral regurgitation, and ejection fraction 28%. Lots more drugs added to the cocktail and now under the care of both a cardiologist and an Electrophysiologist. Drugs

Edoxaban and dreams and nightmares ...... Part 2
Been figuring the best way to write my thanks to you all for your comments on Part 1, so, tryin’ this. Whilst I have been reading your comments I have also been reading ‘The paper in the packet’ for each of the drugs that I originally referred to. It does seem as though each of these three DOAC's side

Thudding heart!
Hello. I'm hoping that those with more experience can help me! I have just been diagnosed with Atrial Flutter with rapid ventricular response and given bisoprolol 2.5mg as well as blood thinners. So, now my heart rate and blood pressure are within normal parameters - but I have a very "thuddy" feeling
