Recently Diagnosed. Overwhelmed.
I was advised that I was a candidate for active surveillance for the next year with periodic PSA checks and another
biopsy
in a year. I saw Dr. Catalona at Northwestern University in Chicago for a second opinion on February 12.

Beware of Lansoprazole
I had an endoscopy and it was discovered that I have multiple polyps in my stomach due to taking this drug long-term and now have to have them removed and also awaiting
biopsy
results. I was never told of this possible side-effect and am so angry. Please be careful.

Hi all I am 67 and was diagnosed with prostate cancer last year with a PSA of11, an MRI indicated a couple of areas of concern in the prostate which was later confirmed by a Prostate
biopsy
(Ouch!!).

Drop in resting heart rate since pred
I had a temporal artery
biopsy
yesterday so resting up and taking it easy. I wear a fitbit so am aware of my usual resting heart rate. It is normally between 61-65. When asleep in early hours it doesn't normally drop below 60, although sometimes to 58 or so.

Does Besremi cause high blood sugar?
The thing is, I had a BMB this week, since my MPN specialist wanted to have a baseline, and prior to the
biopsy
had some blood tests at the hospital. I got some of the results today and was shocked to see my Fasting Glucose level jumped from 83 prior to starting Besremi, to 121.

Dumb Question about rising PSA after initial RT.
Have always been curious, as when initial
biopsy
was ordered, the doctor said, "if you were a few months older (70), your PSA level would not have prompted further investigation".

Variations in serum creatinine 10% in 2 weeks
Since March, I have been suspected of having IGA nephropathy, I have not had a
biopsy
yet. I lose proteins, approximately 500-700 mg/24h, red blood cells 15-15 hpf. In February, serum creatinine 1.09, I was given prestarium (perindopril arginine) and forxiga ((SGLT2) treatment.

When it’s someone you love!
She’s ticked almost all of the boxes and had various tests and scans, seen Max-Fax, ENT and Rheumatology consultants and is just waiting for the dreaded lip
biopsy
now! One consultant (Max-Fax) laughed and told her that she ‘didn’t want Sjögrens!’

What happens when CT scan and ultrasound can't verify if it's an ovarian mass or not?
Will they do some kind of
biopsy
or surgery? Are there any other options?
