TURP scheduled tomorrow - concerns
Hi everyone, have this op planned for Monday in UK and wondering if it will help me. I can pee about 50% flow these days and the main reason they want to do it is to get a tissue sample for the Royal Marsden so they can genetically sequence the disease and see if I qualify for any drug trials (no biopsy

lower platelets caused by stomach issues?
Doc thinks my low platelets are caused by my stomach issues however I shared this with the x ray tech when I got my upper GI today and by the look on his face he was thinking no. Results were posted today and I didn't get a call from my primary so I'm guessing I didn't have any bad stuff pop up or anything

Palpatations and eating
Whilst my AF is at bay and long may that situation last, I am now having runs of fast heart rate whilst and after eating. This lasts for about the first hour then everything settles down again. I have had a barium swallow recently and am having a brain scan as the Gastroenterologist I saw recently

AKM Shamsuddin, MD, Ph.D. (Univ. of MD Medical School) invests decades in cancer research and gets results
In 2015, three years after I was dx with stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer (two pelvic bone mets, PSA 19, G8), I discovered Dr. Shamsuddin's book "IP6 and Inositol" in my search for anticancer natural supplements. IP6 is a molecule found in every cell of our body. It occurs naturally in many sources

Wading through custard - latest blood results, please help
I've been treated for an under-active thyroid since 2008 and like loads of you, it slowly dawned on me that my thinning hair/aching joints/brain fog could be linked to it, even though I was on a heft dose of levo. Could someone kindly review my latest blood tests and let me know if I do need to go down

Legs!
I'm nit someone who cries easily or frequently but I've been sobbing on and off since yesterday. I am in so much pain I don't know what to do with myself! Went to the GP earlier to beg for pain relief but after listening to my chest decided I still have an infection and so I can't have strong pain relief

Interpreting Blood Test Results - Help Needed Please?
Hello, this is the first time I have posted here. I recently visited the doctor due to poor energy levels, achy limbs, dizziness, breathlessness, restless legs etc etc. My GP did loads of blood tests but the only clear red flags were ferritin and Vit D levels. I've been on 400mg of ferrous sulphate

Vaginal suppositories
I have read about women who have used Valium vaginal suppositories for relief from pudendal nerve pain and pelvic floor dysfunction. My OBGYN is not familiar with this type of treatment and I have not been able to get a prescription to try it. I also read from one patient that she inserts a Valium tablet

Change of bowel !
Hi all ! Not messaged for a while , still plodding on , hubby now coming into his 11 month post op and still having trouble with swallowing and dumping . Consultant has referred him for a ‘ swallow’ barium to check the lumen but may need his 8th stretch . My question is apart from the obvious ‘dumping

Spatone Liquid Iron
Wondering if anyone has tried Spatone to give their iron levels a boost? Can you take it with Pred? Am on 12.5 at the moment. I know the Ferrous Sulphate will be a lot stronger but don’t like the side effects, Spatone seems to get a lot of good reviews, find it difficult to make decisions these days
