Treatment for gallstones
Hey, Just had my second scan which still shows gallstones. My consultant has prescribed Ursodeoxycholic acid for 6 months, in the hope that they will dissolve the sludge. Has anybody else had this medication and did it help? Kind Regards

Possible Urinary Endometriosis
Hi all, Long and complicated story about diagnosis and an operation but basically I don’t think it helped. I have cerebral palsy and have had since birth but what I didn’t see coming was when I started off with heavy periods from the age of 13 and my GP started me on Mefanamic Acid which didn’t help

Maybe I shouldn’t post OCALIVA side effects. I’m hoping everyone here knows them
MEDICATION GUIDE OCALIVA (o-CAL-eh-vah) (obeticholic acid) tablets What is the most important information I should know about OCALIVA? If you have primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) with advanced cirrhosis, you may need a lower dose of OCALIVA. • Before you start OCALIVA, and during your treatment

Defibrillator
Hi, posting on behalf of my husband he recently had a major heart attack and we would like to buy a fully automatic defibrillator. The BHF website advises contacting the local ambulance service which I did a week ago but despite chasing them up I still have not had a reply even advising we would be happy

Non-responders
Hi Just wondered how many of us are considered non-responders and are in the slightly over upper end of normal to around the 200 range of Alkaline Phosphatase who have stayed on Ursodiol only. How long have you been in this range? Have your symptoms advanced? I am also AMA-negative. I was diagnosed

What stops flooding? If I sit for 10 minutes or so and go to stand up, I have to run to a toilet and blood pours out of me.
It goes all over my clothes, through a pad, gives me headaches, lightheaded due to the amount of blood I am loosing, can’t sit on any light furniture incase I bleed through. At my wits end with this! The pill doesn’t work, tranexamic acid puts me into labour pains where I need to be given morphine.

Generic brand of urso
hello, I've just picked up my urso and the brand seems to have changed. I used to Ursofalk 500mg and now it's Cholurso 500mg. I asked pharmacist about it and was told this is a generic brand now and not the original makers of urso and it is cheaper for nhs and should not affect me in any other way.

Newly diagnosed pelvic congestion syndrome
I’ve recently been diagnosed with pelvic congestion syndrome after 10 years of suffering with pelvic pain and heavy periods. Initially was told it was endometriosis so I tried numerous contraceptive pills and mirena to help with symptoms but none have had any effect. I had the mirena removed in September

One week in and 2nd doctor appt.
Saw doctor one week after starting Pred and he’s more certain it’s pmr because the groin pain disappeared so quickly and he’s now added in alendronic acid and cholecalciferol. He’s ordered 2nd blood test for 23rd and then next appt on 30th. Both of the new drugs seem to do the same so are they both

Alendronic Acid ?
I took my 5th tablet last Friday. By midday I had a sore throat and was dizzy. The following morning my whole body ached. Four days later I feel much better. Is this a reason to stop this?
