Saline nasal rinse and glaucoma
I suffer with allergies and used to use steroid nasal spray. Now I have glaucoma I now know that these sprays are bad news! I've been looking into saline nasal rinse kits as an alternative to help me with the chronic catarrh in my throat but can't see any information about if these are safe to use for

Danger Danger, Will Robinson...... More on my HHD Experince
There used to be a television show back in my day where the robot would flail his mechanical arms, blink all his lights and yell “Danger, Danger Will Robinson.” Well, we have had our own HHD episodes of “Danger, Danger.” I sort of smile, not laugh at them now. But oh boy…. It seems amazing to be that

Broncholidator Reversibility Test
Hi, I posted a few days ago about my team wanting to do a broncholidator reversibility test and FeNO before they put me forward for biologics. I wasn't going to do the test, then decided to do it, incase it did show reversibility to save time waiting for a referral to Wynthenshawe as my current hospital

mucus plugs (plastic bronchitis)
Hi, sorry for gross question but... A long story short: I was in hospital for a severe asthma flare up in September for 12 days (when I was first diagnosed). I was on oxygen and not improving. They gave me a lot of saline and salbutamol nebs. What eventually worked for me was that I coughed up a lot

Arnika Apotheke, anyone UK having trouble ordering?
I have been on the website and it is asking me to register as a professional. I know they have changed over their systems and it is causing delays. I want to order methylcobalamin again as I do better with this when self injecting. Is anyone else having trouble with Arnika or are your orders going

The problem with Buprenorphine, BTBD9 and serotonin syndrome
This is for those of you who are really struggling with the remedies for RLS. Apologies for not referencing all my research but I’ve been completely wiped out for weeks now. However I wanted to share some insights I’ve had recently and hope it inspires thoughts and research. Adenosine is a chemical

The dialysis journey continues at home
Here is my latest on my journey in home hemodialysis. I started this process on October 16th. And we came home on December 18th. Many people get home faster but I had issues with a couple of weeks of when they infiltrated my fistula (poked through it and I was bleeding internally). The problem was the

Hypertonic Saline and Abuterol mixed together in nebulizer
As of yesterday I’m adding 3% saline to nebulizer. I read it was ok to mix abuterol and the saline but I’ve never seen any posts where people were doing that. I thought I’d save some time but maybe that’s not possible with this disease. Does anyone mix these meds?

Post Operative Steroids
I am now home after having a new knee fitted. They kept me in an extra night due to being in surgery much longer than anticipated and low sodium levels, so saline drip overnight. I am guessing I was given more anaesthesia than planned, I am finding that I am more tired than I've ever felt. I can

The Truth about Home Hemodialysis
It has been the hardest month I have ever had in my life. I promised I would write an honest and complete description of the process. I started on October 16th. The first week, I wrote about already. Not too many issues. But in my head, I was so overwhelmed. I was not ready for dialysis mentally in

Filter needles for methylcobalamin
Do you use filter needles to draw up your B12? If so, where do you get them? I just received my dry methylcobalamin and normal saline ampules, and I mixed it up but then I started to worry about drawing up glass in the syringe. I'm not sure how likely this is. Is it a big risk to do it without a filter

IBS with BAM Hospital episodes
Does anyone end up with severe bile sickness after numerous bowel movements (about 7-10 times) and then end up in hospital with chronic dehydration? To hydrate, given 4-5 bags of saline before being able to come back to normal. The bile sickness continues until I’m fully hydrated. My last episode
