DAY 7 OF SICK DAYS, ET AL

Last Wednesday evening increased Pred from 16 to 20 mg. It has been 7 days. Still on antibiotics to avert any infection from that cut on my shin. Almost done with the AB. VON says it looks ok. Took my first shower this morning. Salined the cut. Also ran some saline solution.down my back, just in case. They took the dressing off that yesterday. Do you think I can drop the Pred back to original 16 mg. or wait and do a taper? I am still very sore and back muscles are quite swollen.

Now have a very thorough NP who is referring me for an up-to-date BDX and other things the rheumy missed. She said "my, you've been through a lot". Lol.

Got a surprise call after 6 months on the list, for Physio at the hospital, which starts tomorrow. I will most def warn them about PMR and DOMS.

Don't see why not - it is still a decent dose. Is the physio for PMR or for the spinal op?

Physio is for the muscle spasms which are pulling so hard around my stomach and diaphragm, can barely eat or take a deep breath. At the moment. The spasms are through the sides as well as a huge obvious one in right shoulder blade area. Hopefully the physio.will get me mobile again. Going to ask about dry needling for trigger points. Thank you Pro for your prompt reply. Your input is so appreciated.
