Day 2 Enhertu infusion

The first day the infusion protocols went very smoothly. Received saline fluids first, 3 premeds for nausea etc. then the Enhertu. No pain no side effects. My infusion nurse suggested a port for me. My vein in my arm is scarred. So port it is. I am drinking 💦 and eating light carrots 🥕 🍦 🥗! No nausea! I have IBS constipation (too much info) so I am currently treating my gastrointestinal issues! Today I swiffered the floors and did dishes. The nurse said mild activity will help move the chemo. So stay tuned for update toward end of week.

I had my first infusion last Thursday and have had mild nausea since the premeds finished.I too have medically induced constipation.I had felt fine until yesterday when I almost passed out from doing too much before heading to my Palliative Care appointment at Moffit (which is an hour from where we live).

My husband drives thank goodness or I would never had made it yesterday.

Other than that I just feel fatigued and queasy sometimes.I am 76 so that also is a factor.

Hope you keep doing well on Enhertu .My two nephew oncologists are very excited about this drug.

How was getting Thr port? Did you go under anesthesia to get it? I had one 20 years ago and it wasn’t fun… but I just had the one arm for needle sticks so I did it. But that is the main reason I am fearful of in chemo. Maybe it is better now. What is your experience?

My port was no big deal.It is much better for Cat scans with contrast as well as ordinary blood draws👍

Has your oncologist put you on Neulasta? Mine is with the 2nd Enhertu infusion.I just finished my third shot to raise my white blood count .My 2nd dose was postponed a week and the Neulasta device will be applied to my upper arm at the infusion.
