After diagnosed for R.A. 4 years ago, having infusions of Actemera, then Orincia, and taking all the usual oral meds, Methatrexate, plaquinal, prednisone, I’m getting worse. Loss of weight, and unsteadiness . Now, I’m being told I have Rheumatoid Vasculitis. What’s the test for this and treatment? I had blood tests 3 weeks ago, but haven’t heard from Rheumatoid Dr. Does anyone out there have this or have knowledge about Rheumatoid Vasculitis??? Please share with me!!

Help!!
Sorry to hear you might have a rare complication of Rheumatoid Disease, It reminds us all how complicated this condition can be.
There is a good article here: vasculitis.org.uk/about-vas....
If they haven't been in touch with you that's a good sign that they are not worried usually and that this diagnosis is not correct. Usually with something serious they get very active and are nice to you (in my experience!) It's when they aren't sure what is going on that they get vague and distant.
Thank you so much for replying!!! I will look up the site you gave in Vasculitis. Dr. Put me on 40 mg of prednisone daily, and possibly doing infusions of Retuxen (sp). However, Dr. has not gotten back to me after having blood tests 3 weeks ago. As of now, I’m still scheduled for Orincia next month. Thank you again!
