Hi I am going to have to have a tooth extraction....dentist says chance of jaw necrosis from tocilizumab and I wonder if anyone has had this ....I know from here that it is only a small chance but its scary ! Also will I need to come off medications (tocilizumab and methotrexate) first? Advice appreciated

GCA Osteoarthritis
I saw the rheumatologist today and he tells me all my organs are performing normally. He did see scoliosis in my back and osteoarthritis in my neck and lower back. He did not mention PMR so presume it’s off the table. My neuro opthamologist is treating my GCA with prednisone at 5mg/day. The rheumatologist

Relapse 3 years later?
Had PMR, treated sucessfully. Came off Pred completely October 2020. My ESR was 26 at that time and rheumatology ordered repeat bloods. Had the bloods. Never heard anything else so presumed I was cured. 3 years later last few months awful neck & shoulder pain, finger joints swelling, neck cracking

Rheumatoid Arthritis and pain across shoulders
My husband has RA and gets a lot of pain across the top of his shoulders. He also has osteoarthritis aswell, and has had both knees replaced. He is on tocilizumab infusions every four weeks. When he spoke to one of the RA doctors about it (not his favourite one!) he was told it was due to 'scar tissue

Absolute newbie!
I’m starting C25k (with my very reluctant husband!) and I’m a bit nervous! I have osteoarthritis in my knees and I’m mildly asthmatic (use Ventolin inhaler very occasionally!) I cannot imagine being able to run (I walk a lot) how difficult has it been for people-honestly??! 🫣😁

omeperazole with methotrexate
I have RA and taking Sulfasalazine and Methotrexate (20 mg orally). I take Omeperazole too as a protector as was initially taking Celecoxib for pain relief before my symptoms were under control. I no longer require pain relief so I’m wondering if I need to continue with Omeperazole? Are others taking

Digoxin snd side effect
Can long term reliance on Digoxin ( AF and mitral valve repsir) cause uric acid levels to rise . And, can this cause rheumatoid arthritis flare up ? I made mistake of trying to understand my latest blood test results . L

some advice
swelling in the collarbone I have some swelling in my collarbone which could be linked to rheumatoid arthritis . Is there a link between PMR and rheumatoid arthritis? Can the first lead to the other ? Sorry if I sound so ignorant . This is a new development for me after 3 years of PMR
