Action Plan going forward and are these supplements ok?
Hi, Just an update, I am booked in for a phone consult with my GP later this week, so I am hoping to ask to be re-prescribed levo due to TPO antibodies >1300, TSH 4.65, FT4 13.6 and FT3 4.6. If GP won't re-prescribe it, I am going to ask them to contact Gynae (who I am on a waiting list to see due to

MMA and iFAB tests
Hello, My question is about reference ranges for iFAB and MMA tests. My MMA was 26.8 ug/l and the reference says >32 is an issue. My iFAB was 1 AU/ml and the reference range is >1.2 is an issue. I’m just wondering how these cut-off points are set e.g. did somebody in the lab just decide that results

Test for Unsaturated B12 Binding Capacity (UBBC)?
I'm in the UK and have read with interest a few posts on this forum about people who were given the UBBC blood test to identify whether issues with transcobalamin II are the cause of their B12 deficiency (I think that's how it has been used if I have understood it correctly). As someone with unexplained

Functional B12 Deficiency?
I think I read here that you can have a normal serum B12 result but be deficient if the B12 is not getting through to the cells. I have always received copies of my blood test results so I know that in theory I am definitely not deficient as my last test in October 2021 was 698 (197-771) but I feel

SUCCESS!!!
Hi all. I just spoke to my primary who is a PA and very kind to me within the clinic that stopped my injections. Of course they were claiming I might have b12 toxicity🙄 Anyway, I had written down all I wanted to say and explained there is no evidence in any medical journal that supports toxicity. He

Is that true the most important difference between MS and B12 d symptom is random symptoms in MS but in b12d develop symmetrical?
As I learned from doctor' Chandy's book. Ms first off is mostly in relapsing remitting fashion and in rare cases progressive form it doesn't remit and developing time takes more thant ten to twenty years and average age of diagnosis is 43 which 75% are women age 20 to 40. Scotland and Canada are fastest

Advice on Folic Acid.
I am having B12 injections every eight weeks now. I was diagnosed nearly three years ago but haven't taken any Folic Acid yet so I've bought a low price, Valupak, pack of 400ug tablets. I have no idea what ug means, neither do I know if this is a correct dose, how often to take them and are ordinary

OPTIMAL TEST LEVELS ?
Can someone please briefly address my recent test levels. Please be aware I am decidedly unscientifically minded and find it hard to follow the science…and certainly to retain it ! So ..please give me numbers… I can’t quite get the whole iron picture ..serum iron, transferrin and serum ferritin… But

Does anyone take supplements as well as B12 injections ?
Hi Everyone My doctors have started me on B12 injections and I’ve had 2 loading doses out of the 6 so far . I’m wondering if people still take their B complex supplements on top of the injections so you get all the B vits still ? And if so what strength? I’m feeling very tired today after my second

Thyroid test results received, further advice would be gratefully received!
Following my initial post a few weeks ago and all the helpful responses I received, I’ve now got my FT3 and FT4 thyroid test results from Monitor My Health and would appreciate further advice. Bloods were taken 7.30am on an empty stomach and before taking Levo. Should I be reassured that the levels
