Hi everyone, I would like to thank you all for the advice on getting my Iron tested, I did get the full panel test and the advice from the doctor was Everything is normal,
Transferrin saturation is 32
Ferritin 36
Armed with all the info from this forum I discussed this with my doctor who agreed to prescribe m me iron to raise the levels and do blood tests again in 8 weeks to review,
Iron prescribed ferrous fumarate 220mg 1 per day, max 3 per day.
Hoping this helps,

Well done. You may know - as your doctor obviously doesn't - w we people with RLS need values for especially ferritin high in t je normal range. 36 in that respect is too low. Did you already have the paper on iron for RLS? See: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/294...
Also, once daily raises iron faster than three times daily and is much less constipating. I hope it works for you! Don't stop too early, get your ferritin as high as possible. And don't forget to take the iron on am empty stomach with some vit C. I always take it just before bed.
