I just spoke to my primary who is a PA and very kind to me within the clinic that stopped my injections. Of course they were claiming I might have b12 toxicity🙄 Anyway, I had written down all I wanted to say and explained there is no evidence in any medical journal that supports toxicity. He agreed. He also told me that some docs are scared of high b12 readings during jabs, but he's not. I also told him that my last cbc still shows low rbc and high rdw amd in fact my rdw is the highest its ever been and it seems 3 times a week may not be enough. He agreed that he wants to level those out even if it means more jabs weekly. WHEW!!!
I have already ordered from Canada which will be here at the end of the week, but it's ok that I have others on hand. I just received a text from my pharmacy that they're filling my b12 with needles!!! I'm so happy. I feel validated.
Thanks for all your help❤

Amazing news and good for you. Hoping you feel better soon. Thanks for sharing, it’s always lovely to hear positive news. Finally, a doctor that understands.
I have had a good scout around with regards to where this B12 toxicity comes from. Unfortunately, I am sarcastic so, will keep my mouth shut. However, as certain breeds of dogs, cats and cattle are prone to B12 deficiency/PA, I was interested to how another profession (vets) treat it.
They take blood, start treatment before results are back as it won’t do any harm (non toxic) and know what happens if treatment is delayed. Injections are usually once a week and owners can be taught to inject their pets/stock.
So, is one profession barking up the wrong tree ? Pun intended.
Then that means you should have injections for life. I dont know what its like for you in the USA but I was able to buy a shot with the syringes, wipes etc for about £1.25 each and am self injecting at home. My gp is aware of this. They agreed that treatmemt will be symptom based and not blood reading based.
I could get it free on the nhs but im not sure that even with the best intentions they would be able to keep on top of my needs.
If you can take matters into your own hands hopefully you will see a huge improvement. It really gives me peace of mind knowing I can manage this myself, in conversation with my gp. AND I can keep the symptoms at bay.
Wonderful piece of news !Also glad to hear of a GP who gets that there is no toxic level.
In fact, B12 is used in very large quantities to flush toxins out of a patient's system when poisoned - which is what anyone (GP, nurse, consultant) will find if they Google "B12 and Toxicity"......... so why don't they do that?
My nurse did, when I had injections restarted at two a week.
