Iron Bisglycinate
I have been taking Nutravita iron bisglycinate 28mg x 2 tabs on alternate days for 3 1/2 months. My ferritin levels were originally 50 and have only risen to 67. I’m confused about the dose of the iron. Is 28mg of iron bisglycinate equivalent to 28mg elemental iron? Sue said the two tablets (equaling

My daughter's Iron panel results
Hello, Could I have help please with these results for my daughter? What does the overall pattern seem to suggest?
Iron
-good and no need to supplement?
TIBC and UIBC
are a bit alarming, but that may be because I don't understand the implications.

Anyone tried Sulbutiamine to help with fatigue etc?? If so how did you get on??
Just had a broad spectrum blood test as I still feel like I have just been dug up from the local cemetery … Everything seems fine (Liver, kidneys, B12, adrenals, they even mentioned my bones) … But I (As most of us poor lot do) feel like crap, and utterly fatigued .. Now I’m looking into some stuff like

Oral Iron supplements, doing it wrong!
Well, I got my full blood test back and after some analysis, I think I messed up. I have been supplementing daily with 36 milligrams of ferrous bisglysinate. Here are my lab results that concern me. Ferritin was 72! This is my lowest since my infusion in 2016. Eight weeks after my infusion

low folate again
Hi, I was wondering if folate levels stay low over a long period of time and neurological symptoms occur can this cause long term effects? Can it be irreversible? My folate has been low for years despite supplementing either prescription for 3 months then on to multivitamins and eating well, my b12 deficiency

Starting Levo. B vitamin supplementation without b12.
I’m due to start levothyroxine today and I want to optimise its effects by supplementing. I’m having monthly injections of Vit D and B12. I cannot take B12 orally as it causes nausea. Anybody know a good B supplement without B12? Also I eat a lot of foods containing B12 so hopefully that and a monthly

Confusing iron panel results
Hi, guys, I'd like to ask for help interpreting my iron panel results. First of all, let me say that this is the first time ever that I have had these tests done, so I don't have anything to compare with. This is what the results look like: Hemoglobin: 155 g/l (reference range: 120 - 160 g/l) Serum

Confused by GP's answer
I was initially diagnosed with Pernicious Anaemia in 2017,received 5 of 6 loading injections - went for 6th injection, asked how I felt, I said alive and was then told I didn't need any more injections. I still felt dreadful hands and feet felt odd, stumbling like drunk (teetotaller) was ashamed in public

Macrocytic anemia returned
Hi all, I’m interested to hear about your experiences with different forms of B12 injections to see if you’ve find some forms ineffective compared to others. For some background, I found out I had macrocytic anemia due to B12 deficiency around 2016 and have been injecting monthly or so ever since. I

20 yrs B12 def
OMG! My doctors have given me all my past medical records that were in paper form as they are now computerized only. I have been reading them and discovered that the MCV AND MCH has been really high for at least 20 yrs consistently. It has never lowered. I am assuming this was also having an effect on

B12 deficiency genetic? Is it PA?
Over the years I have never had a B12 test over 250, was finally sent to hematologist when it got to 155. I have been folate deficient and ferritin deficient (am now on shots and had iron infusions). For the last two years I have been tested and tested for everything under the sun to find a cause for

Low iron test results and a way forward please
I had some blood tests recently and am wanting advice on a way forward, please. My serum iron level and my transferrin saturation index are both below the minimum level on the reference ranges. My serum ferritin is only just above the minimum on the reference range. I am struggling with symptoms I remember

CLL is a lymphoid stem cell cancer so why are my myleloid stem cell products falling so much?
I am on Acal for 10 months after 8 years on W&W, 13q unmutated. Doing well with minimal side effects. ALC coming down from >200,000 to less than 30,000 after 9 months in April. Going to Dana Farber next week. My question is: if CLL is a lymphocyte cancer and lymphocytes come from lymphoid stem cells
