Your FT4 is only 26.96% through the range and your TSH would probably have been higher if you tested fasted at 9 am. If I were you I would start your trial of Levothyroxine with a retest in 6/8 weeks to see where you are and how you feel.
Your B12 would be better over 500 and your folate is too low- best in double figures or at least half way through the range. A Vit B complex is recommended, Thorne Basic is said to be good although it didn’t agree with me so I take Igennus which is controversial as it also contains Vit C. Your ferritin looks good. Vit D is best over 100 so supplementing with Vit D with K2 MK7 is recommended, also it’s cofactor Magnesium.
Thanks so much for the information! It’s so hard when they say so many things are within normal range so for example, they said my Vit B, folate & Vit D were all fine and not to worry about them. Thanks so much for your help 😊
The problem is, GPs think anywhere in range is fine. They don’t learn and don’t know that, where in range is a good result, especially for hypos. It’s only something I’ve learnt since being a member of this forum. Keep reading posts and replies. It’s an education in itself and will help you do battle with the NHS when the need arises.
