Antidepressants & kids
Does anyone here have experience with children taking
antidepressants
? My daughter is 11 and was prescribed Zoloft. We still haven't given it to her because the "black box" warning terrified us. She had been cutting and we're worried about her getting worse if we start the medication.

Unfaithful partner causing my anxiety & depression to be worse
So fast forward to now, my baby is 5 months and I’ve been diagnosed with postpartum depression & anxiety and I’m back on
antidepressants
. It’s been really tough for me to get through this and still try and heal from my husbands infidelity.

Struggling
I am totally new to this, my first post. I am severely depressed with anxiety. I was a medical assistant for many years, and unfortunately following surgery was given opiates and within 2 weeks became addicted. I lost my job, ( my career), lost my father, and my only child passed away 2 years ago from

Antidepressants and RLS
I tried cutting back my
antidepressants
for 2 months and it did help to greatly reduce my RLS in my legs. BUT... I also found that I couldn't live on that lower dose, so I've had to go back on my higher dose.

Previously, I was diagnosed as having anxiety and depression and took
antidepressants
. I have been taken off all meds except for Sertraline. What meds do others take for this disorder? My moods swing quite drastically at times and I find it difficult getting to or staying asleep.

Mirtazapine - Antidepressants when travelling
Hi All, I'm travelling to SE Asia (Japan, Bali, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, & Vietnam) this June for 9 months. I take 30mg/day of Mirtazapine (also known as Remeron or Zispin etc.) for depression and anxiety. I've found it incredibly taxing trying to find a way to legally carry 9 months worth of

Anxiety - how too unbuild the monster?
I found a good Doctor who put me on pregabalin 600mg a day which seemed to mildly help (had a terrifying reaction too
antidepressants
) and a fantastic therapist, this time around of being signed off people took it more seriously then last and were amazingly supportive, I also reinstated my faith in God

Anxiety in early pregnancy-anyone else?
I'm a naturally anxious person, I also suffer with depression and am currently in the process of coming off some
antidepressants
as I've been doing pretty well for the past 8 months or so now.

Thyroid Disease being overtreated - is this a sick joke?
Thyroid disease 'being over-treated' https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-48265023 Certainly NOT my experience - left treated until I was virtually dead and had to argue for a thyroid function test when
antidepressants
were suggested! Good job I did or I’d have died of hypothyroidism.

Feeling bleh
So it’s my bday and I’m not feeling in any way special at all 😞 I’m feeling bummed too after discussing
antidepressants
with another medical professional 😣 I’m trying all my advices to boost my mood, food (but have no appetite), music (any upbeat, but doesn’t do anything for me).

Antidepressants?
I’m curious to know, what have your experiences been with taking
antidepressants
? If you don’t mind sharing, how long have you been on them and has it helped you significantly?

Mixed bag of anxiety issues - Help, is mirtazapine the right medication?
I’ll try to keep this as short as possible. I’ve had anxiety for as long as I can remember. It got worse when getting a diagnosis for endometriosis then I had a baby and think I got postnatal depression, Mum recently got diagnosed with cancer (she’s had operation to remove it so things should be okay

First trip to A&E with panic attacks
I know
antidepressants
can have a lot of effects and things get worse before they get better but its really difficult. I never realised how bad anxiety could be before getting these panic attacks.

Starting to realize my situation is probably hopeless.
I have tried 4
antidepressants
, I can’t tolerate the side effects of any of them. (They all make my anxiety even more intense) I have been unable to get a referral to a psychiatrist who accepts my insurance, and even if I could, it takes 6 weeks to get an appointment. I live alone.

Migraine prescriptions > Gastro issues
Are there any SSRI medications (NHS list 8 different tablets - https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/ssri-
antidepressants
/) or other migraine medications that do not cause gastro issues? Obviously, I appreciate this is my case and we are all different - I will be seeking advice from my GP in due course.

I’m confused #endo
Any advice would be amazing and I would be so grateful as I’m feeling really down and I’m not aloud to take any
antidepressants
because of my heart problem which is kind of funny from my point of view lol.

Depression and Poetry Exam
I use 1g of
antidepressants
( 4 different types) daily. I can’t focus on anything at all. As I study literature I am supposed to read a lot but in certain days only I find it possible to read 2 pages or less. I also work as a freelance translator but as you might guess, I miss deadlines a lot.
