Last night I woke up with heart palpitations, felt very weak, brain fog, dilated pupils etc. Called the service we have here which suggest what to do without having to bother the emergency services. As my heart rate was fast for like 20 mins they told me to get checked out at the hospital. By the time I was waiting to be seen I was starting to feel more normal and all tests came back normal.
Usually I don't get this bad but I think it may be a combination of only being on fluoxetine for a few days and could be side effects. I know antidepressants can have a lot of effects and things get worse before they get better but its really difficult.
I never realised how bad anxiety could be before getting these panic attacks.

I've just started my setraline up again and the panic attacks have come back again. Just went out today and had one come over me I also never realised how horrible they can be .Do you get skipped heartbeats when you have them? x
Yes and you. Yeah all the adrenaline gives me them I think. I've had to call ambulance for panic attacks when I first had them aswell coz didn't know what they were
Panic attacks are the worst ..I do pretty well at managing without medication but to each is own..sometimes I have little setbacks that last a couple of days. I was at work the other day and felt super dizzy and my heart rate was at about 110-120 for about 40 minutes. Scary at times but it usually turns out ok. Just have to let the storm pass if you’ve been to the docs already and they tell you that YOU are fine you have to trust it.
