Antidepressants

Hi, I've just been back to see my GP regarding with withdrawal of Ropinirole and the chronic pain I am having, they now think I may have fibromyalgia and wanted to start me on antidepressants, I just wanted to know what is a safe one to take and I know a lot of them make RLS worse.

hi What is a good antidepressant when taking methotrexate and Tofacitinib. Any advice would be lovely and what to expect with side effects would be helpful.

Do any of you take any antidepressants, or have done, if so what were they?

I am about off of Ropinirole and I would like to get off Duloxetine as I think it may have contributed to my RLS. Is there another anti-depressant that is safe to take without causing further RLS?Thanks Hotrodder

I was wondering if anyone has had any IBS relief from taking antidepressants. I have recently been diagnosed with suspected IBS, however I am still having investigations. My symptoms do make me incredibly anxious so I was wondering if antidepressants would help.

Needing advice from those who have had some issues finding the right antidepressants. What did you go through? Have you had some success after initial symptoms?

I may need to take an antidepressant and wondered which ones are compatible with RLS? I recently started taking Clonazepam after switching slowly off of gabapentin and I am having side effects from it that have created this mood change.

I desperately need something, years of unmedicated anxiety and depression have taken their toll on me but I'm still petrified of antidepressants.

I am one of those people who have to take antidepressants which I know is a contributer to RLS. Does anyone on this forum take antidepressants and what can one do about this and RLS. About a month ago I dumped Pramipexole and am going through withdrawal. Ugly! But I want to persevere.

However I feel depressed and very tired despite taking antidepressants. At a recent blood test my free T3 was 3.3. Is this normal or o[u]n[/u] the low side?

So I decided to slowly come off my antidepressants. I know you shouldn’t just come off them but there was a delay in receiving my last prescription and I felt fine without them. I wanted to see how I would cope as didn’t want to be reliant on anything anymore if that makes sense ?

I am thinking of going back on antidepressants. I have had two catheter ablations for afib with my last one being one year ago. I am experiencing ectopics now and may need to go back on Sotalol if I drop back into afib. Is it safe to take antidepressants with Sotalol or other anti-arrhythmics?

Is there any decent antidepressants in this country where wouldn’t make you put weight on, and is doesn’t have really terrible side effects long term like duloxetine ?

has anyone got any advice on acid reflux , had it constantly for about 4 months , Doctors advice go back on antidepressants which after 10 years managed to stop taking and take lansoprazole which just made me sick I have a sore throat and cough all the time , taking bottle after bottle of heartburn

My hormone specialist wants to try me on 75mg Novothyral as my hormone levels have improved but my mental health and fatigue is still very low, my GP wants to try me on antidepressants…. I’m so confused about what I should do. Do my results reflect being treated for low T3?
