Antidepressants

Hi, I've just been back to see my GP regarding with withdrawal of Ropinirole and the chronic pain I am having, they now think I may have fibromyalgia and wanted to start me on antidepressants, I just wanted to know what is a safe one to take and I know a lot of them make RLS worse.

hi What is a good antidepressant when taking methotrexate and Tofacitinib. Any advice would be lovely and what to expect with side effects would be helpful.

Do any of you take any antidepressants, or have done, if so what were they?

I am reducing my antidepressants sertraline from 100mg to 50mg as I want to come of them I have been on them over 10 years and I just don’t wanna be on them anymore even though my anxiety and depression is horrible , it’s been 2 days and I feel bad already sweating racing heart and so on is this normal

hello I need to start taking my antidepressants, but I’ve read a few times that people have had an increase in ectopic beats when taking them together?

I was given some antidepressants by a Dr I feel just to get rid of me! My husband is being great, I don’t really manage without him but I seem to be stuck - I don’t want to take the antidepressants but I don’t want to feel this way anymore for him and for me.

I was wondering if anyone has had any IBS relief from taking antidepressants. I have recently been diagnosed with suspected IBS, however I am still having investigations. My symptoms do make me incredibly anxious so I was wondering if antidepressants would help.

Needing advice from those who have had some issues finding the right antidepressants. What did you go through? Have you had some success after initial symptoms?

I am about off of Ropinirole and I would like to get off Duloxetine as I think it may have contributed to my RLS. Is there another anti-depressant that is safe to take without causing further RLS?Thanks Hotrodder

I told them they can’t use most antidepressants or sedating antihistamines. I don’t want to suggest benzodiazepines . I’m drawing a blank. Please help.

I’m just wondering what is the easiest one to take, minimal side effects?

I am curious to hear from the IBS-D patients who take TCA antidepressants. What is (or was) your dosage and does it help ? I have been on 30mg / day Nortriptyline, it definitely helped to reduce the urgency, but now I feel that I might need a higher dose.

However I feel depressed and very tired despite taking antidepressants. At a recent blood test my free T3 was 3.3. Is this normal or o[u]n[/u] the low side?

Does anyone have experience with antidepressants and adhd meds? Particularly SSRI's? Trying to find a solution because I have both adhd and depression, but I'm at that point where they seem to be canceling each other out and I'm not getting any type of dopamine.

I may need to take an antidepressant and wondered which ones are compatible with RLS? I recently started taking Clonazepam after switching slowly off of gabapentin and I am having side effects from it that have created this mood change.

My Gp has prescribed antidepressants and temporary diazepam until they kick in. I am seeing my haematologist this afternoon. Any comments appreciated.

I've been watching what i eat and exercising 3/4 days a week cardio and weights Oh yeah I'm 64 and on antidepressants Do i have a chance? Any advise? Thank you
