Naughty tooth delays ASD procedure
Thanks to a post on
antibiotics
for dental procedures I got off my a** and booked a dentist appointment to replace one cancelled in order to see a cardiologist. It turns out that my “gum boil” is likely to be a chronic infection due to a dead tooth.

Achilles tendonitis and damage due to antibiotic side effect - odd icy sensation?
I have had RA for nearly 10 years, currently on Benepali and Metotrexate injections. Rheumatoid factor 74 and Anti-cpp 600 in 2014 and generally do not score above normal for blood CRP tests (interesting anomaly) even when ultrasound in clinic reviews shows inflammation. As well as small joint hand

methotrexate and antibiotics
I’ve had 4 courses of
antibiotics
to no avail but prior to the methotrexate. GP wants me to try
antibiotics
again but I’m concerned about the interaction. I’ve been having fortnightly blood monitoring but it has recently been transferred to GP monitoring every 3 months.

Inhalers.......
He also has a mouth \tooth infection but would not take the prescribed
antibiotics
as he was not allowed to drink alcohol when on them. I am starting to wonder if maybe this has spread to his lungs as for the last 24 hours the coughing has been quite bad.

React/allergy certain
antibiotics
. I do have ulcerative colitis of many years standing but well controlled. Would appreciate others experiences .. how they have felt on taking Hydrea.. I know it’s an individual body response too. I know it’s vanity too… but hair loss? Skin and nail?

How prostate cancer transforms into aggressive NEPC following treatment with anti-androgen therapy.
"Similar to bacteria that gain resistance to
antibiotics
, tumors can become resistant to anti-cancer drugs by 'remodeling' their environment and developing strategies to evade targeted therapies.

PMR resurgence
I’ve just finished a course of
antibiotics
for a bladder infection so am going for a fresh set of bloods, urine and poo today to try to establish if PMR has returned. It certainly feels like it! Since completing a 950km bike ride in France over 11 days I have been absolutely floored.
