Spinal stenosis, compressed nerves
I know it’s not all caused by the pernicious
anaemia
as I had an injury when I was a kid. I had osteopenia three years ago but that has started to improve following parathyroid surgery.

Protein and B12
The information in this article on protein deficiency seemed interesting to me. It seems like some of the symptoms I was attributing to B12 deficiency symptoms might be due in part to insufficient protein. The entire article is available at no charge. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4439950

Protein deficiency and B12?
I was diagnosed with B12 deficiency with neural symptoms in the spring of 2021. After bouncing around in treatment that I later learned was appropriate for hematologic symptoms, in August of 2021 I began injecting cyanocobalamin daily, and have continued since. Some symptoms improved, others did not,

BMB results
She also said it could be the Anagrelide that was causing the fibrosis and
anaemia
! I’ve still got a lot of pain from the bmb where they caught the nerves, very painful getting in and out of bed, and hard to get comfortable in bed. Better when I’m moving about.

13 days on +5mg but still not completely sorted. Link to covid jab? Also dex scan disappointing.
After chat on here with PMRpro and others I added 5mg. I had gone through an awful fatigue etc very slow drop from 6.5mg to 6mg. It took me about 5 weeks and was feeling good after 2 weeks on 6 every day but stiffness started at week3. Now had 13 days on higher dose...11/12mg.It was better some days

Pernicious anaemia?
I am a 60 year old male leading a healthy, low stress lifestyle. I have never had any medical conditions (apart from a bout of pancreatitis a couple of years ago) and never been on any medications apart from the occasional pain killer or dose of antibiotics. I exercise and meditate daily. I don't drink

Monofer is making me feel crap
Hi, I had an iron infusion 10 days ago as I had Feratin at 10 and low iron transfusions. I am sure in long run it will help me but Monofer is making my life bit of hell. Not slept one night in the past 10 days without waking up in the middle of the night. My sleep quality has been crap. (a) has anyone

Gut is now at metaplasia stage and it's irreversible. Need advice, friends.
Hello, It has been some time since I last wrote so I will refresh your memories a bit. In a nutshell, I was diagnosed with autoimmune atrophic gastritis two years ago which caused PA and b12 deficiency. I take 1000 mcg B12 cyanocobalamin once daily but sometimes twice if I'm feeling poorly at the end

Post Surgery Fatigue
Went to the GP wondering if it was
anaemia
but she thought it was unlikely due to them doing blood tests right after the op. Still, GP was really concerned so sent me to A&E.

Self-injecting 2 ml EOD.
Hi Family…. Has anyone self-injected 2 ml EOD, subcutaneous? If so has there been any adverse reactions, I currently inject 1ml EOD, for about 6 months. PA brought on-by years of taking PPI’s for GERD. In the beginning I really didn’t know what I was doing I tried, B12, strips, sprays, tablets, patches

Anemia of Chronic Disease
My recent CBC yielded numbers that suggested I am anemic. My iron levels are normal and my B12 is also normal, albeit in the low range of normal. I was told that I have anemia of chronic disease caused by my thyroid condition (low functioning thyoid, maybe Hashimoto's). Anyone else have experience

Daughter's blood results
Merry Christmas everyone 🎄⛄Following on from my post about my daughter's Vitamin D and Folate deficiency diagnosis, attached are my daughter's blood test results. I wanted a copy to check if they'd checked her B12 as I was concerned about her starting Folic acid if deficient in B12 . I don't see anything

Post operative acute hepatitis
I do have pernicious
anaemia
, B12 deficiency, Vitamin D deficiency and currently Folate deficiency. I try to eat a good diet and exercise but currently too tired to do much - any suggestions if this could be related to the operation or if its more likely the deficiencies.

How to get a referral to an endo for central hypothyroidism?
I asked her to get tested for pernicious
anaemia
, the result of which initially came back as borderline so she had to be tested again and then it came back negative so PA has been ruled out.

magnesium glycinate and pregnancy
Knowing that lots of you take magnesium glycinate, have any of you taken it safely during pregnancy? Slightly off topic as I’m enquiring for my daughter who does not have a thyroid problem but is in the first trimester of pregnancy and is only sleeping about three hours a night. I suggested magnesium

Not been about much lately due to getting busy with the new service I set up, so I hope everyone is well. A few will remember the hassle I had around 18 months ago getting my daughter's GP to get her 'Active' B12 checked, it never happened. She's continued to struggle feeling tired etc etc. Her new
