Hi all, I'm trying to find out what parameters of normal I can expect following a prolonged cholestatic phase due to viral hepatitis (unknown virus). Back in February I had the flu, started to get a little better but then nausea started followed by dark urine then itchiness (horrifically so!) resulting

Urgent advice please - my 37 yr old son
Some of you will know my traumatic story of 36 years of 'misdiagnosis' of being told I have simple hypothyroidism. In Jan. 2017 I paid for private blood test and proved I've got Hashimotos. Since then I have discovered how to recover & am now in the best health I have been in since 1981 (or even before

Vitamin B and Folate levels.
My GP. Noticed three weeks ago that my vitamin B and folate levels were low. Haveing been diagnosed with scleroderma for ten years plus now I should have remembered to ask them / they should have noticed. Anyway, I am taking the folate tablets and the nurse has been topping me up with vit B injections

Problems absorbing vitamins from your diet?
I went to see my GP on Monday because I’ve been feeling low which is very unlike me and I’ve been hugely fatigued for months to the point where I have to force myself out of bed to go to work, feel like I want to sleep 24hrs of the day, have no motivation for anything...you get the message - she looked

What Makes a Perfect PD Vitamin Cocktail?
B Vitamins are really getting my attention! B3 B1 B6 B12 and I just read a new study this morning that pterostilbene helps with B3. Amitriptiline for headaches
What are your thoughts on amitriptiline for headaches please? I’ve just seen my GP as I started getting unbearable headaches for 2-3 days a week 2 months ago. I haven’t had a headache for 7 years since I left work to start a family. I don’t have any unmanageable stress and haven’t made any recent diet

OT: update third week on vitamin B injection
There has been some ups and downs, but mostly just positive improvements. This really is, if not the missing link ,but a big part of the solution in my way for better health. B1+B6+B12 gives me better appetite, improves digestion , increase my body temperature , sleep better , I recover slightly

Who best to refer to? (Endocrinology, Neurology etc?)
Despite injecting weekly, taking folate and other B vitamins. My husband still continues to experience crushing fatigue and mood swings (amnesia etc) when not rested i.e. sleeping 11 hours plus at night and 2 hours in the day. His pins and needles, psoriasis, brain fog and pallor among other things
