After eventually getting diagnosed with Hashimoto's my doctors have decided that, as my TSH isn't high enough to give me symptoms, I have Fibromyalgia which they want to put me on
amitriptyline
(unfortunately as one of my Ecg's came back with a slight problem they are waiting for advice from a cardiologist

Head pain help!!
Tried
amitriptyline
with no help and eventually saw headache clinic who started Gabapentin for suspected allodynia. Started at 300mg and worked up to 1800mg with no help over last few weeks. Actually now have intense sick headaches so have had to reduce dose back down to 900mg.

Sinus pain
I was given antibiotics cephalaxin i believe and
amitriptyline
, for the pain. Nerve in sinus pain shooting straight down to my teeth and gums. I wouldnt wish this on my worst enemy. In any event when those antibiotics were done the pain was back.

Fibromyalgia Advice
I've tried
Amitriptyline
last week but I was violently sick and my doctor took me off it. He's now put me on Gabapentin - I took my first one this morning and fell asleep, but when I woke up I felt awful: the pain was very severe, my arms felt very heavy and like I couldn't even lift them.

Advice please - I am very worried about my neuro symptoms
It is nerve pain which I have been taking
amitriptyline
(10mg) for, but this is not touched it. I don't want to double it up as I have 2 kids to look after. Painkillers are doing nothing. When I first started injections, I was out walking daily for 20 minutes after about a week.

IBS flare up
I've had an IBS flare up which has happened after increasing fibre in my diet. when I went to the doctor I saw a different doctor than my own and I asked to be prescribed
amitriptyline
tablets. They work for me but I was met with reluctance to be prescribed them.

IBS
The
Amitriptyline
has helped a great deal with the pains but now have severe sleep problems, don't want to stop taking the
Amitriptyline
as I don't want a return of the abdominal pains. Tried St. John's Wort for sleep problems but hasn't helped, not suppose to take it with
Amitriptyline
though.

Depression and IBS
I had numerous tests to rule out naything more sinister and was labelled with IBS and prescribed
Amitriptyline
to take every night before bed. I had a particularly bad flare up a few months back after a holiday to america.

Newbie also!
Try CHERRY ACTIVE (juice/capsules) from Amazon I've tried optimal and pure nature high strength these give a better quality of sleep than just with
amitriptyline
alone (athletes use these for muscle recovery). Also I've found that a CLEAN diet helps ibs symptoms (mine almost none existent).

Duloxetine (Cymbalta)
I started doing research and figured out it was withdrawal from the
Amitriptyline
. I'm the one that had to tell the doctors!! Sure enough, they gave her a whopping dose and all her symptoms cleared up.

Levator ani syndrome and pudental spontaneous neuritis
I also tried 25 mg of
amitriptyline
for 2 1/2 weeks with no success. Anal valium suppositories made it worse. This problem causes not only physical pain but affects me emotionally. Has anyone found Drs in Nirth Carolina who treat this condition. Has anyone gone to Dr Anyolak in Minnesota?

Amitriptyline.. again!
All of which advise
amitriptyline
as a last resort.. went through all this and explained why I rather not take it, and that I'm at a stage in life where I can deal with my rls but I think it could get worse.

Pain/Fatigue in Vasculitis (even when other symptoms are under control)
For example: - ankles when standing - anywhere I lay on for too long at night -
amitriptyline
helps get me through the night. As does a form mattress and pillow. I only use codeine and paracetamol for pain relief.
