Newbie to this Form: Help Please?
I have pretty dire sensitivities to pain killers, which is why I'm looking for help to control the spine spasms: Off the top of my head, I'm allergic to Co-codamol and most morphine based painkillers;
Amitriptyline
makes me feel suicidal; I had a relatively good antidepressant (Lofepramine) which helped

Coming off Amitriptyline!
Hi everyone, I posted last week about the awful headaches and severe nausea I was experiencing as I stupidly stopped taking
Amitriptyline
cold turkey. I cannot get a doctor's appointment for 3 weeks so I am desperate for some advise.

Introduction... Possible Anxiety
Currently on Omeprazole and
Amitriptyline
Hydrochloride. My main question is, has anyone gone through something similar and what was the outcome? I don't see my accident as traumatic but everyone else is saying it is.

RLS is mainly at night and causes very broken sleep, have tried lots of medication.... gabapentin, tramadol,
amitriptyline
but suffer horrendous side effects! co-codamol helps but I hate the 'hangover type feeling'.

I've been on a low dose of
amitriptyline
for a few weeks, ive noticed the last couple days a slight shake in my hands when testing etc, I've read that it's a Common side affect in certain antidepressants like
amitriptyline
and wondering if anyone else has experienced the same thing......?

Ouch!
I don't think the
Amitriptyline
is working anymore, so will need to pay a visit to my GP. On the upside, I get to spend today with my gorgeous 4 year old grandson Kurt, he makes me laugh, and that's a medicine in itself. Lots of love to my fibro friends, have a good day x

Just wondering......
It has been suggested ( by osteopath and a counsellor ) that perhaps I could try some medication for the nerves - e.g
amitriptyline
, nortriptyline or duloxetine.

Scared and worried
My doctor had me on
amitriptyline
and anti inflammatory for many many years. I became frustrated they were only treating symptoms and masking what was causing it so I stopped taking them. Really need a good rheumatologist! Thanks for being here!! Christy

Amitriptyline withdrawal
Hi, I am new here but would like some advise from anyone coming off
amitriptyline
. I have been taking 10mg for nearly 4 months but it was making me feel worse, so dreadfully tired and weary. Last week I decided to stop, felt heaps better for a few days then the withdrawal symptoms began.

I have found out from other suffers that
amitriptyline
causes weight gain.I have put on over 2 stone and am not very happy about it so decided to go to Slimming World.I have lost a few pounds but then put it back on again.I seem to be getting nowhere and it is making me very unhappy as I have never been

No treatment being offered.
After today's appointment they have just increased her
amitriptyline
to 20mg and then said go to your GP if anything changes. Surely this is not right. Surely there must be some sort of treatment plan offered rather than simply giving her some drugs (which don't really help) and sending her away?

Can anyone explain my blood test results? (Copied from another post) - please ask if you need to know anything
Told to double and even triple up on my
amitriptyline
and she's booked me an appointment to see my registered Dr next week to review. I remembered to ask for a printout of my blood tests - there's pages of it!!!

Has anyone on here been diagnosed with Pericarditis.
I am currently taking 2x 30mg/500 cocodamol every 4-5 hours, my naproxen got changed today to 1x500 morning/evening, because the 3x 250gm made no impact after a week I am also on propanol 80gms morning/night originally prescribed for ocular migraines and 50 gm
Amitriptyline
taken at night for muscle

Going on holiday...
but Dr. thought there was nerve involvement so gave me low dose
Amitriptyline
. It has improved somewhat so am going away for 5 days on a coach tour! My question is, having stalled at 8mgs for 2 months because of the Bursitis, will the holiday mean I should boost the dose for the duration?

When one type of medication can react with another.
I was then put on
Amitriptyline
as it helps with depression and pain. I myself decided to reduce the Gabapentine and am suffering with neuropathic pain with the reduction. I also have arthritic pain and muscel pain.
