Going on holiday...

First time in years! You were all so helpful when I posted I thought I had Bursitis in the Hip - had a jab, not really a lot of good! but Dr. thought there was nerve involvement so gave me low dose Amitriptyline.

It has improved somewhat so am going away for 5 days on a coach tour! My question is, having stalled at 8mgs for 2 months because of the Bursitis, will the holiday mean I should boost the dose for the duration? I seem to remember seeing other posts re. holiday dosage adjustment. I go tomorrow, so thanks for any help.

Certainly don't reduce any further. Most of the comments about adding to the dose while on holiday tend to be for long haul flights and that sort of thing. I didn't add to my dose during the coach tours I did in China and Canada and was fine. Had I not been I might have added a mg or 2 for the duration - you can drop straight back after 5 days. I'd say see how you go though rather than increasing just for the trip. Depends a bit how much sightseeing and walking there might be.
