Contaminated eggs anyone?
I had two poached eggs with home made gluten free bread at lunch time. I now have what seems to be a huge allergic reaction to them which is similar to what I get with gluten. I know allergic reactions and celiac reaction are different but I feel like I have had an allergic and gluten reaction in one

Adding montelukast
Just seen my GP, and after discussing many things, she asked about my asthma, which still isn't really controlled. When I mentioned that it was worst when the pollen count was high she suggested we add montelukast. She hasn't done it today (I am already adding one drug to my cocktail - thyroxine -

Anyone with experience of Oral Allergy Syndrome?
I've not had food allergies since I was very little. Earlier in the year, I thought I might have had a reaction to nuts, three times - so spoke to the gp about it. He referred me for tests. I couldn't stop taking antihistamines for skin prick tests so they did them through ige/blood tests. Pity, as that

Joys of a non-hay-fever day
This summer I've managed to attract hay fever to myself, and on friday and saturday I was utterly ill, I lost my nose somewhere with some tissue paper, and my eyes were so watery they simply couldn't help me to focus. The worst part was the itchiness in my nostrils and the throat. The good thing is

Problems with ears
I"m having problems with my ears "closing up", like I am in an airplane. Neurologist says it is allergies, but it comes and goes too quickly to be allergies. Anyone have the same problem?

Hayfever????
I'm not sure if I've got hayfever or not. Because I just have stingy itchy watery eyes and a runny nose and rarely sneeze. This has only happened a few times in the last couple of years. I do live in the suburbs so I expect I have a higher chance ofsuffering it but im not convinced. Could it be or is

Beeing referred questions please!
Hi, Wondered if I could get some advice/experience please. I have an appointment with the GP to get my son, 2, referred to a consultant for his asthma. This shouldn't be a problem as in his asthma nurse's opinion he should have been referred already but we were hopeful to try and get things sorted with

Re: Global Food Banks
Hi all - there have been many posts where members are having problems making ends meet which has then caused them to not have the money for food to feed their family. I did a search following a comment made in another thread by ember where these food banks were mentioned. Below is the link to the global

Would you eat in a Certified "Food Allergy Awareness" Food service establishment
I have a gluten sensitivity and was lactose intolerant for a time and I am totally frustrated at eating out, because of the lack of knowledge on allergies and cross contamination by management, serving, and kitchen staff, and also the lack of choices. Because of this I am setting up a Food Allergy

Hay fever cough?
I have an annoying dry cough and feel fine otherwise (no sore throat/chest/runny nose) so I think it's just allergy related as I have no history of asthma or anything like that. But the last time I tried running with a cold/cough I made it so much worse and had to stop the programme at week 6 which I

Can allergies cause a chesty cough?
I've had a horrible deep, painful chesty cough for the last few days, assumed I was getting a chest infection as started with a temperature and feeling sick and shaky, but that then stopped and I was just left with the cough. I've been waking up every night, sometimes twice and sometimes staying awake

HOW CAN CARRY A LIST OF ALL MY MEDICINE AND ALLERGY WITH ME.
Can anyone help me? I take 28 tablets a day and I need to find a way to make a list of all my medication, doses and allergies and carry it with me at all times. I have looked at a medic alert site but need to carry more information than what they can offer.

utterly in a tiz about my condition
Tight chest, as if I'm being strangled, hard to breathe, cough... -it was thought I had asthma, but it is now thought perhaps not, perhaps its allergies. I have seen bits about xolair on the web, and it seems to say the allergies it could possibly help include dustmites, mould, cockroaches and pets
