Following a full month of non stop coughing my 7 year old daughter was diagnosed with Asthma last Monday.

She's had a blue inhaler for about 12 months but has now been given a brown one which she needs to take every morning and before she goes to bed.

Over this weekend she started being sick every time she coughed - this was more than 20 times in one day.

I took her to our local urgent care centre as understandably I was worried....I was given Piriton - for hayfever.

I have read up on hayfever and vomiting isn't one of the symptoms - nor does it seem to be anything associated with asthma.

Is the vomiting anything I need to worry about??

Any advice would be very much appreciated as I am a complete novice :-/

Hi

Hope your daughter is better, you need to take her back to the doctor if she is like that. You don't feel sick with asthma although you can cough that much somtimes through coughing can make you sick if you see what i mean but as far as i am aware it is not a symptom but i am NOT a doctor. Has she got any other symptoms like a temperature etc.... what ever way round for piece of mind for both of you take her back to be checked and good luck
