Hi, I'm new to this but how reassuring to see that I'm not a minority (sometimes feels like it). My 'problems' began a couple of years ago, when I decided to try a herbal (by mouth) colon cleanse spring clean, so to speak. Never tried it before but It was actually so intense that I swear it disposed

Hayfever and seasonal allergies - how do you cope?
Good Morning Everybody In the new today is information advising that the pollen count this year is going to be high due to the late spring and previous cold weather. Allergies can be very debilitating especially if they trigger breathing problems. http://www.express.co.uk/news/health/391985

Asthma and Milk Allergy/Intolerance
18 months ago whenever I had milk products or food that has milk as an ingredient I got severe catarrh and coughing and my voice became hoarse and sometimes went completely. My breathing was affected and my asthma went out of control and I was having asthma attacks on a daily basis. I had an intolerance

Beginning to think I have severe asthma - any advice please
I'm 48 and recovering from an asthma attack after a combined bad cold and allergic reaction to pet rats. My history in brief - I had bronchitis/hayfever as a child. In the last 10 years my allergies have got progressively worse - lots of oral allergy syndrome plus the normal stuff like cats/rats/pollen

Communication! Isn't it a good thing?
Well, my Duke orthopedist's office has answered my questions. Hooray! ! And so today I was equipped with a list of what the orthopedist plans to inject me. Thus I was able to ask my allergist's opinion about whether my body is likely to play nice with these drugs . He does not think I will have

I am allergic to Levothyroxine, does anybody know what else I can take for hypothyroidism please?
I have tried all of the Levothyroxine preparations available in the UK, including liquid forms that do not contain lactose or acacia and have had a bad allergic reaction to all of them. After just one dose of 12.5 mg my breathing becomes VERY laboured and.I have to take an allergy tablet to get my breathing

High Eosinophil count and rising
Hi All, Noticed, when looking back over recent and old blood results, that my eosinophil count was 0.3 (0.0 - 0.5) in April last year and is now 0.08 (same range). GP has said nothing (there's a suprise) and have been doing some research on internet and coming up with allergies (and things a lot

Has anybody here developed an allergy to rice, or cross-sensitivity to it since going GF and eating all that extra rice?
Rice has always been a staple in my diet and now, for the last few years, my consumption of it has probably tripled. I am to be tested for a true allergy but can't until I've been off my antihistamines (for seasonal allergies) for at least 30 days. Doctor has said if it a sensitivity it will not show

even medical websites get it wrong - CD is NOT an allergy!!
I've just been on the NetDoctor website researching something about my son, and when I finished I just thought I'd have a look at their info on CD. Looking through the various subheadings I thought I'd look under 'Digestive Health' as there didn't seem to be anything else jumping out at me - but I couldn't

Would this suggest Lupus to you?
My daughter has been unwell for nigh on 2 years with fatigue, rashes, joint pain, sore throat, depression and as I have Lupus I am becoming more of the opinion that so has she. She was at the Doc (again) this week with a sore throat (again) and he diagnosed tonsilitis (again). He gave her Doxicycline

ANIMALS - ALLERGIES
Hi everyone! I've just loved seeing film 'Les Miserables' today. Brilliant! When I returned home, having been out 10am-5pm my nose became inflamed. I've noticed lately that I seem to be suffering from allergies (didn't used to). Fish tank in bedroom didn't seem very fresh (though recently cleaned
