How do I deal with a cat allergy when suffering with Bronchiectasis?
I have Bronchiectasis which has recently worsened, but for over twenty years I have suffered continual cold and bug like symptoms which despite numerous tests, remained undiagnosed. By chance I did an online allergy test. I was asked to include pet hair which I did reluctantly as I have lived with cats

I just answered the new hay fever poll
I was just going to tick the box that said 'Same as Normal' and realised that in the last three days I have had two breathless episodes, my cough is producing blood, and the doctor who visited me at home (the joys of living in Devon) said no crackle but you do have a terrible wheeze. Hay fever had

What is an allergy?
So, allergic people may have
allergic
rhinitis and asthma (target organ: upper and lower airways),
conjunctivitis
(target organ: the eye), eczema, urticaria and angioedema (target organ: the skin), and food allergy (target organ: all the above, plus in some cases the gastrointestinal tract).

Hmm... Another vitamins question from me. Cut down on my vitamin B complex tablet, been sneezing all day?
I cut down on my vitamin B complex tablet, cut in half. Now I didn't have the best of immune system, and would often get colds and allergies play up. Since taking the B vitamin, I haven't had a cold or allergies play up. I cut down, and I've been sneezing all day and low energy. Could this be related

Leaky gut syndrome
I'm writing this because I feel that there has to be some truth to the fact that food allergies and med side effects can cause a lot of problems Can I suggest looking up The Lectin Story on google and make up your own minds if what we are eating contributes in some way to how we ache Hope you all have

I often get hayfever although i must admit it's usually pretty mild. I don't know exactly what sets me off but it's definitely something that floats around now. Been horse riding tonight and struggled slightly with my breathing, this week last year (i can remember it cos it's my birthday week and my

Dymista (new treatment for hay fever)
http://www.mims.co.uk/news/1178978/Dymista-new-combination-intranasal-rhinitis-treatment/ Thought I'd post this as a separate blog for anyone struggling with hay fever (excessive pollen levels are expected this year) Only just approved by NICE, available on prescription, it's a combo of antihistamine

Hay Fever
The pollen count is so high that even my daily anti histamine is only giving minimum relief. During the night I always have a window open as I need to feel the cool air, but I woke up wheezy about 3am. A toot on my ventolin sorted it quickly, but its going to be a long season, I think. It's weird

Secret Eaters.
I've only watched one or two of these on Channel 4, but I must admit they are very interesting. Basically, they generally underscore the fact that in by far the majority of cases where people say they're eating healthily but still putting on weight, the simple honest fact of the matter is that they
