Consultant appointment today
Yes I went to my appointment today. He is considering conditions that mimic asthma as I do not have family history of asthma only allergies and excema and hayfever. He said it does look like asthma but then he said infections can mimic asthma also. Now I am wondering! He also said about doing spirometry

Is it possible to have no trigger asthma?
I have been checked by the medical profession for a couple of years to see if they can find a trigger for my asthma and have not been able to? I got asthma though hayfever. I still suffer with hayfever but doesn't trigger an attack in anyway. I am on fostair and I have not had 1 attack in 3 years maybe

How do you find out what type of asthma you have?
Hi I was diagnosed in 1990 with asthma and probably have had from 1986 (age 15). Looking at the forum I have seen people say they have : Brittle asthma or Eosinophilic Asthma or Cough Variant Asthma. How did you find out the type of asthma you have. Asthma, hayfever, eczema are linked I am aware of this

Can ''Traces of nuts'' in cereals trigger an allergic reaction?
Hi everyone, I recently found out that I am allergic to peanuts, coconuts and even trees. For most of my life I have suffered from itchy skin which often lasts for up to a week before it calms down. I also find that before the itching starts my face breaks out in pus filled spots on the bridge of my

Does food talk?
Who knew that food could talk? - since going on a diet (three days ago) I have started to hear voices from food - yesterday I walked past a chocolate cake - I swear I heard it say "Eat me" . The question now is does all food speak with the same voice or do different foods speak with different accents

Winter rhinitis and non-allergic asthma?
I have non-allergic, very difficult asthma but also, somehow, hayfever. Apparently this is possible (ie atopy but non-allergic asthma), if weird! I take fexofenadine 180mg and Avamys nasal spray for it and usually don't need it in the winter. However, this winter I found I still need both - I stopped

Heart rhythm and food allergies
I have been incredibly busy over the last 2weekends and not really paid attention to my diet, I'm as much as I have multiple food sensitivities. Firstly I had fresh orange juice at a B&B. Crikey that was bad but also had my heartrate all over the place as well as affecting my digestive system. And yesterday

Hypothyroidism and allergic rhinitis
Hi all, I started with severe hayfever in March (tree pollen i thought) and this has continued throughout the year with a few very brief periods of relief. I have read that there is a connection between hypothyroidism and allergic rhinitis. What I don't understand is why I should develop this now when
