I was prescribed Cetirizine after I developed AF, no problems. Probably good because it has a slight sedative effect, on me anyway.

I wonder if that is what caused my PAF! I occasionally took cetirizine for the odd allergic reaction I experienced but never took it daily as the doctor prescribed, as I don't like the idea of being over medicalised! I prefer to take stuff only when it really seems necessary.

I have been taking cetirizine 10mg daily for years for allergic rhinitis.

Had no effect on my AF. Was just told not to go over the stated dose.

Cetirizine is an antihistamine used to relieve allergy symptoms such as watery eyes, runny nose, itching eyes/nose, sneezing, hives, and itching. It works by blocking a certain natural substance (histamine) that your body makes during an allergic reaction. Cetirizine does not prevent hives or prevent/treat a serious allergic reaction (such as anaphylaxis). Find generics of Cetirizine over here netmeds.com/generics/cetiri...
