ANA Test
I'm sure that lots of you will tell me that you have tested positive for this too! I'm also RF and CCP negative. Wondered if anyone else had this profile or not! Just wondering as it was suggested by hospital that I don't take Sulfasalazine. I suspect I know what it means but hope I might be wrong!

In December I went on Lupron and Zytega. in March, and April my PSA was 6.9 and 5.7, Alk Phos 299 and 220. I had a scan in March that showed tumors shrinking. Today I got my May test results

Concern about my B12 levels
I was diagnosed with low b12 in January and received an injection then. I felt better for about a month but then started having symptoms again so I went to a doctor. She did more blood tests and my b12 came back really high so she decided I didn’t need another dose and that the previous low test was

Apixaban (Eliquis) - Damage to Liver, Kidneys, Thrombocytopenia - Dilemma
I have a major dilemma. My dilemma is this: do I continue taking the blood thinner (Apixaban) and bring about damage to my kidneys and liver, OR do I stop taking it and take chance having a stroke? But again, there is another huge fear: blood thinners do cause, in some people, hemorrhagic stroke.

Alkaline phos rising yet symptoms lessing?
My husband began Zolodex close to 2 weeks ago. He's a 13 year Stage IV survivor. His alk phos is increasing and yet after he did the initial Casodex, got the injection of Zolodex, his symptoms are lessening greatly. He has reduced pain meds, sometimes even to the point where an Advil and Tylenol will

HAS ANYONE WITH PD HAD SPINAL CORD STIMULATOR IMPLANTED FOR POSTURE CORRECTION,PAIN MODULATION AND MOTOR FUNCTION?
Hi,friends, this procedure might be relatively new. I have read that it is similarly to DBS,but it targets the spinal cord instead of the brain.I was wondering,if anyone had this procedure done, please share your experience. How effective is it?Is it safer ,compared to DBS? Thanks in advance.

Doubling Flare after 7 days of Casodex and 1 day of Zolodex
Questions: My husband diagnosed Stage IV 13 years ago. He's not been on Casodex or Zolodex since 2014. We hadn't taken a PSA for about 6 weeks. His psa went from 55 to 64 in that time. It was the alk phos that scared us, it shot up to 740, I honestly can't remember the number.. it was at another blood

A small rise in PSA What do you think of my plan
I'm a 76 1/3 yo that has spent 2 1/4 yrs on Zytiga had IMRT, SBRT to the bone and on Xgeva. Psa was <.1 for 8 mos and has risen to .2 Alk Phos looks good. I'm expecting PSA will not go down and plan to try again to get Dexamethasone prescribed in lieu of pred. Will provide my MO in advance of next visit

Alk Phos Flare?
Similar to how PSA can go up before it goes down as dying cancer cells release PSA in response to treatment, can the same phenomenon happen with Alk Phos in response to radiation to bone lesions? Thank you everyone.

Medical Perspective on COVID-19 from Seattle
I am posting this from the consideration that information is empowering, and in this case is full of caution. It is from a physician deeply involved in the fight to care for Seattle COVID patients. It is not a controlled study and has no statistics. Rather a first-person perspective on how this is unfolding

Need advice!
In February my right hand (specifically just fingers) suddenly swelled up two times randomly. There wasn’t any sharp pain, just discomfort from decreased range of motion and it went away in about 3 days. I never had anything like this, 29 yo M, no PMH. I’m convinced it might be an allergic response but
