Anybody have any experience with DFS pattern and what it means. I got a second ana test done and it came back as 1:640 densely fine speckled, are their any autoimmune diseases that it could point to? I was tested for lupus but these test came back negative but it showed inhad a extended dvrrt levels and my liver enzymes were pretty high as well. Any thoughts?

A positive ANA of 1:320 or over generally means that you are more likely to have an autoimmune disease than not. But the pattern, so I’m told, is not much of a guide as to which disease, especially if ENA panel is negative, Did they run any other ENA panel tests for diseases such as RA, Scleroderma, MCTD or Vasculitis? If all of these are normal negative but you have compelling symptoms of Lupus, Sjogrens or other then you might be diagnosed with seronegative rheumatic disease or else UCTD (undifferentiated) I think. Apparently a clear positive ANA like yours would be enough to diagnose Lupus if your symptoms tarried but not all rheumatologists agree about this.
