New hot flash drug approved
I would expect it to work on men taking
ADT
too, although it has not been proven. I hope that Medicare/Insurance will cover it in men. https://www.fda.gov/news-events/press-announcements/fda-approves-novel-drug-treat-moderate-severe-hot-flashes-caused-menopause

... what, then, do we die of?
imo} For those unfortunate to have metastatic disease treated with
ADT
, Metformin is even more important, since
ADT
increases Metabolic Syndrome risk factors. But wait a moment, if we successfully reduce CVD & PCa mortality risk - what then will we die of?

Post-prostatectomy cancer status + treatment
Likely I'm facing a very, very difficult decision: whether to pull out the hammer now, go after what could be remaining with everything we got (radiation,
ADT
, chemo, or subset thereof) or wait for signs of recurrence. The medical way of saying the same thing: adjuvant or salvage therapy.

Prostatectomy 2012, Oligometastatic 2021. Metabolic approach ,no ADT, no chemo. Interested in Lutetium 177, Dr. Kwon Mayo patient
However, I did my homework on the many ramifications of
ADT
, especially with a low PSA, and chose to approach the cancer metabolically, even though my doubling time was under 3 months.

Timing of Dexamethasone
I've been on
ADT
since 2017 and approximately 3 years ago I switched from prednisone to .5mg dexamethasone daily with morning meal. I have been having periods of infrequent lightheadedness. I have been through a series of tests and my pcp cannot determine the source.

ADT Recommendations
I'm probably looking at starting salvage radiation soon with 4-6 months of
ADT
. The doc suggests starting with Casodex and then two sequential Lupron shots. Is there a better way to do
ADT
for that period?

Are we Survivors Or Warriors?
I guess I got caught up with word Survivor - having stage 4 cancer and after 9 weeks of IMRT last year and now entering my second year of
ADT
, I feel like a Warrior, yes I've survived the treatments so far but this is far from over and it will continue to be a fight for hopefully many many years to come

Now Undetectable PSA on BAT Regimen
I have been on long-cycle modified BAT for 2.5 years now. 3 months of very high testosterone (400mg T-cypionate every 2 weeks), then one month of
ADT
using Orgovyx. My PSA has continued to decline on this regimen. It was down by 90% in January 2023 to 0.030. Now it has become undetectable <0.015.

Pain in the bottom after HDBT + EBRT
For those of you who elected HDBT + EBRT +
ADT
as your primary treatment, did you experience any pain in you butt cheeks months after your treatment? It has been 6 months since I finished my EBRT, which or course, followed my HDBT. Lately, I have been experiencing discomfort in my butt cheeks.

Update on my Estradiol experiment
Also in April, I restarted my experiment with Estradiol patches as a treatment for osteoporosis and
ADT
SEs. I started on one 0.25 patch twice per week. Today was 6 weeks and I had Estradiol and Testosterone blood tests.

Treatment - radiation vs. surgery
At favorable intermediate stage,
ADT
therapy is not recommended. If it was, I would choose surgery in a heartbeat. I think that would be worse than other adverse effects of treatemnt.

Has anyone returned to the first line of HT after second line failed?
I was thinking that doing
ADT
alternatively can stop castration resistence. If it works for all of us like going back and forth, then we can all prolong our lives a little bit more. Question 2: Is it true that Casadox feeds prostate cancer?
