I just wanted to post a quick update on my father. He has metastatic castrate resistant prostate cancer. He’s been on ADT - Eligard shots every 3 months and prednisone + zytiga everyday. It’s challenging as I work with him and see all the ins and outs of his behaviour while on those meds.
He remains undetectable on the psa scale as of now (<0.02) Diagnosis in 2019 . I’m happy for him and this post is just to celebrate that he is doing well. He turned 70 in April and I serenaded him with Mariachi and he loved every second of that. He’s a fighter , the smartest person I’ve ever known. I wanted to champion his progress as in.. he’s doing great and it isn’t always as dark as it seems. I wish you all well.

Congratulations ! Be sure to tell your dad his good news has brightened up our lives here on HU. In a way I feel its a blow against a common enemy --aPCA! Thanks for posting the update.
Keep enjoying every minute the two of you have together and celebrating all the little victories in his battle. I am sure he is so grateful for your love and support 💕
thank you , jberg22, for posting some upbeat warrior news. It’s good to see both of you hanging in there and things are good for now. He sounds like a warrior and your love for him is very strong. It seems we hear too little positive news here sometimes . I hope this “ good “ period lasts a long time…. For both of you. Your father is very lucky to have you at his side brother.
You are so kind to share such good news. Always picks me up to hear positive news. I was diagnosed in 2019 as well. All the best to you and your father!
Your father is doubly blessed: his treatment is working, and, perhaps more importantly, he has a loving loyal son. I’m certain the latter helps the former. My respect to you.
That is so beautiful to hear! I'm very curious to know if he was vaccinated or boosted for covid? Not political at all, but I just lost my dad yesterday and I'm heartbroken and so confused by how fast it happened and how many crazy complications were involved.. I want to get to the bottom of this chaos it seems to be happening to too many people these days..Again, I am thrilled to hear your news! I wish to hear more of this type. My thoughts of best wishes will be going out to all in my time of mourning...
